Hello, all you awesome people out there, welcome and welcome back to Geek Visions Entertainment. I'm your host, as always Hoover, and you know this is the one place dedicated to the big three of visual media, that, of course, being film, video games and television. And we have, yet again, another news drop, somehow being the longest and most involved thing I got and somehow the most consistent. I think I got going on the channel right now, but, yeah, y'all already know this is going to handle the biggest news not the biggest, but, you know, most important news stories to get you updated on what's going on in the world of our big three here today. This one is going to cover things from about the midpoint of August here it is currently August 18th. We're going to try to handle this pretty quickly because your boy got something to do later on. So we're going gonna try to handle this pretty quickly because, uh, your boy got something to do later on, um, so we're gonna try to get through this code. You got a couple hours free, so we're gonna try to get through this as fast as we can here today. So, if you haven't already, I actually let you uh, subscribe to the channel, if you haven't already. Get dead, get dan, get, get, get dan. On the ground, on the ground floor, here on the channel Very small channel, still fairly new I'm trying to grow.
Speaker 1:You know I'm trying to do it organically. You know shit About a part-time, you know content creator, you know so. You know consistency. You find the time for shit difficult. But if you like what I'm doing over here, feel free to subscribe to the channel and check out some of the other stuff I have going on. Check out the past news drops and things like that. Also, check out some of my video game walkthroughs and all that other good stuff here on there. All right, by the way, I promise I've started them. I got, I started one. I had to go back and finish it and then we got to start Robocop. But brand new game playthrough is on the way RoboCop, rogue City, dragon Age 2, we're starting those. So those should be happening, hopefully sometime later in the week or by next week. I had a pretty I had a pretty, pretty involved busy weekend here, so set me back a little bit, but we'll, we'll, we'll see what happens. So those two should be coming up pretty damn soon. But anyway, enough of me here talking about all this stuff.
Speaker 1:Let's talk about what we're gonna be yapping about here on the channel today. Turn my camera, let's there. We go, all right. So, of course, as always on the film aspect, we gotta go over the box office returns from this past weekend.
Speaker 1:Uh, we got update on a rambo prequel. Um, did ryan reynolds just tease that deadpool is in avengers doomsday, I don't know. Uh, we got a casting update for, uh, amazon's master of the universe, and then we'll also be talking about update on the scary movie reboot. Y'all remember that was happening. We got a big casting update for that, and then we got ourselves a in memoriam section for tarant stamp. Uh, and then on the video game side, we've got a delay of crimson desert.
Speaker 1:Uh, some some news on roblox roblox, roblox that I've been talking about for a while. So we're gonna we're gonna continue to get on their ass here in this episode, too, we're gonna be talking about stuff there. Uh, we got some brand new leaked possible info for black ops 7 and an interesting update on resident evil 8, and then on the tv side, we got a brand new news on a video game character from star wars making their first tv appearance. So that's pretty cool. Uh, also, we got a look at the upcoming Boys spinoff, vault Rising, as well as a small little message from Homelander himself, anthony Starr, we got an update on a Black Mirror comic book. We also got to talk about season three of Traders and something I needed to talk about I needed to bring this up on the channel the brand new NBA TV schedule for the upcoming nba season. They got the new tv deal. We'll see when we get there, but we'll we'll talk about it when we get there, all right.
Speaker 1:Anywho, that is everything we're going to be talking about here today. Let me refresh all my pages, because you know everything, um, okay, because everything we're talking about is, of course, gonna have a shit ton of pop-ups, but I got my ad blocker on, so let's turn that on so we can move all this shit out my goddamn face. All righty, all right, all right, okay. Oh well, hold on, let me turn. Turn my music on too. We're trying, we're trying the music thing again, so we'll have that going in the background. So, you know, not too much dead air probably not liking that. Y'all, y'all digging that, all right?
Speaker 1:So, of course, as always, we start off with our box office returns, weapon slays nobody too, with fifth what 52, 25 million, and sydney sweeney's americano drops a 50 of 500k ball. Uh, freaky friday also beat the 9.3 million domestic. Alright, we got this again. Bob Odenkirk's modestly budgeted sequel Nobody 2, is having to settle for third place this weekend in its domestic box office debut as Zach Krieger's weapons continues to fire onto all cylinders and stay on top of the chart in its sophomore outing, followed closely by Disney's family comedy Freak your Friday.
Speaker 1:So Nobody 2 is about an average suburban dad who leads a double life as a stealth operative and is on course to open on the lower end of expectations. With a $9.3 million opening From about 2,260 locations. After receiving a B plus cinema score from audiences and it ranking uh 89 on the tomato meter, its global total is about 14.2 million. The first nobody opened during the pandemic and that opened to 6.8 million, so it did open more than the first one did uh, grossing a pleasing 68 million domestic. The sequel cost 25 million uh to make before marketing. So no one at universal is losing sleep. It's a it's. It's made on the lower end, so they ain't really worry about too much stuff, uh, since it is sure to make up ground when hitting premium vod as early as three weeks from now.
Speaker 1:Studio has perfected the art of the pvod. Um, yeah, I'll admit I I've recently, only just recently, I watched the first nobody for the first time. I thought it was pretty solid. It's uh, it's enjoyable, it's pretty good uh, but it, I will admit it is definitely one of those movies where you just catch it when it's on streaming or if you're interested in it. Enough then you, you'll, you'll, you wait for video in a bit, wait for it to come out digitally. I don't think it's a massive movie, uh to go out to the theaters to go see um, but I did watch the first one. It is good um, so I, I have some intrigue about the second one, but again, I'll just, I'll just watch it once it comes to streaming or whatever, all right.
Speaker 1:So new line of wb's weapons had no trouble staying atop the charts uh 25 million in its second week. Only a 43 percent decline uh in its second weekend, which is a rare feat for horror movies and submits the movie status as a water cooler sensation. I think I mentioned that in the last, in the last uh last week's uh news drop about. I'm interested to see how it will do in its second weekend and it seemed like word of mouth is definitely working out for this one. Overseas it dropped 33% to $18.4 million. Early worldwide total of $148.8. And yet another win for Warner Brothers, which paid $38 million for the rights to the project. So, yeah, I mean y'all already know it's still a fuck WB Discovery over here, but at least they're getting some wins because they they needed some uh. All right, freak, your friday, which reteamed jamie lee curtis and lindsey lohan, is a lot, is likewise gaining. Uh is grinning. In its sophomore outing, uh, it brought in 14 and a half million uh and its domestic tally has now reached about 45 million. So far, um, it only failed 41 domestically and overseas it took in about 45 million. So far it only fell 41% domestically and overseas it took in another 5 million. So now it's averaging about 31.5 million internationally. Worldwide tally is looking at about 86.3 million against a budget of 42 per million. So it is doing very well so far, very well.
Speaker 1:Common theme to many late summer studio picks that sport modest budgets. You know this is very funny because I feel like this is an argument that's also been pretty big for video games, where if you just make a smaller game on a smaller budget. It increases your chances to at least make more money back, and it seemed like these late summer movies are really succeeding because of that. Weapons and Freakier Friday are really working from having a very small, modest budget and they're releasing, and also because there seem to be just generally good movies, they're making money back. They're making a nice little thing back. When you look at, you know, like Marvel, which is spending hundreds of millions of dollars to make their movies, and especially now they're struggling to make uh make their budgets back, which is funny because even like Thunderbolts, which had one of the lowest, which had was actually one of the lowest budgets of a Marvel movie, that one still struggled to make money in the box office.
Speaker 1:So nobody too, isn't the only uh new movie to drop this weekend, but it is doing the best. Uh. Highest to lowest, which reunites. That's right. That did come out. Damn, that's this whole. This whole, like last couple weekends, completely threw off my movie shit. Um, highest to lowest, which reunites him with uh Denzel for the first time in 18 years. Oh, we didn't select theaters before moving quickly to Apple TV plus. That that might be where I have to catch it While Apple is making a major push in theaters. F1, the movie is the summer's biggest bop, is one of the summer's biggest blockbusters and is gaining a traditional release in cinemas. High so low doesn't appear to be a part of that strategy. Of course, make it, make the make the big push for the white man in a race car, but all but you know, don't do it, for you know what that's that's an argument for another time.
Speaker 1:My boy argument for another time. All right, a24, which does good shit as we we know, partnered with Apple on this latest movie but isn't making grossest public so far, but with those with visibility into numbers being reported by some theaters such as High Silos, is doing tepid business for a movie with such a high-profile director and cast. I'll admit it has had very little marketing too Like. I really know about it because I seen that first teaser trailer and immediately marked it down. It's like, okay, this is one I want to pay attention to, but I haven't seen much of any kind of marketing for this movie. Uh, lionsgate's Americana, which stars Sidney Sweeney and Paul Walter Hauser and Halsey, is bombing in its nationwide debut of only about a thousand theaters. Pick up into an estimated 500k for a 16th place finish.
Speaker 1:The crime heist movie, which has been well received by critics, has taken more than two years to arrive on the big screen after premiering at South by Southwest in 2023. Uh, it did even less business than in the uh annual releases of the iconic the the Grateful Dead movie, which received a birth in IMAX screens for the first time this year as part of the band's 60th anniversary celebration. That's kind of crazy. That earned $550,000 for the weekend for a five-day bounty of a million. The meetup is always a five-day affair. Day bounty of a million, the meetup is always a five-day affair. Imex was reporting that screens generated about 805 000 across new york, across the north america and europe. So damn, they're being outdone by the fucking um re-release of a grateful dead movie. That's crazy.
Speaker 1:Insiders say americana is no way disappointment and that is a perfect fit for the multi-platform strategy that defines lions gates premier, fit for the multi-platform strategy that defines Lionsgate's premiere division. They target a specific audience, operate it at bare-bones marketing and focus heavily on home entertainment. So they're mostly saying like this movie wasn't really made for, like we aren't really focusing on showcasing this as a theater movie, we're more interested in showcasing it as a home video premiere and targeting a specific audience. So probably their marketing strategy is in something completely different. What that could be, I don't know. My guess would be social media of some kind, some social media platform or something, website or something that their target audience they know is on. So you know whatever, no, but uh, americana is directed by tony tossed and and of course we got the whole sydney sweeney's american eagles jeans thing which I I'm not. I'm not gonna talk about that, ain't got nothing to do with us. Uh, it's tough. Whether the controversy had any impact. Uh, if anything, it could have boosted awareness. And Sydney Sweeney has another indie movie coming out next weekend with Ron Howard's Eden. She's also in David Mechad's Toronto Film Festival entry, christy, and Paul Feig's psychological thriller the Housemaid, which I would probably guess both those probably would do better.
Speaker 1:All right, and let's kind of talk about in the back end of our top movies. We've got fantastic four. Uh, it's finally stabilizing in its fourth weekend. Uh, it only declined 45, brought in $8 million and finishes the weekend in fourth with $248 million domestic and $468 worldwide. The question now is whether it's too late for a full rebound.
Speaker 1:Bad Guys two rounds off the top five it made $7.5 million. Its third weekend it finishes with $117 million in global sales. Um, a lot of it's coming from overseas made 13.7 million this weekend, full tally of 60 million compared to the domestic of 57 million. And it started weekend Naked Gun brought in about $5 million and another five offshore for a global tally of 73 million uh against a $12 million budget. There you go, offshore for a global tally of 73 million, uh, against a 12 million dollar budget.
Speaker 1:There, there you go. There's another small, small budget movie that's raking in, uh, quite a bit of fucking money uh. And then you got jurassic world, rebirth, superman and f1. All remain in the top 10. Uh, that jurassic jurassic park has made about 828.5 million through Sunday, which I do think it puts it in the upper echelon of movie returns of the year so far. James Gunn's Superman is close to about $600 million and F1 is at a little under, at $590 million, which is, I think, numbers-wise, another very successful movie that dropped this year. So there you go, there you go, there you go. We got some, some Indian movies. Godzilla Shin came back. Godzilla Shin was really good. I probably saw that All right, and that is it for the weekend. So nobody's struggling. But, like I said, I feel like it's it's one of those movies that's kind of made for like you catch it on TV, you catch it on video demand, you watch it on a streaming service. You know just one of those coming to it with little to no expectations. So you actually kind of walk away a little surprised and you feel that much better because you didn't have to go out to the theaters and spend money on a ticket and snacks and all that shit. All right.
Speaker 1:Next up, ryan reynolds teases deadpool and avengers team up amid doomsday's production. Is this your king? Of course it is. Of course it is all right. Deadpool's come a long way since being introduced in X-Men Norther's Wolverine about 16 years ago. Uh, we got, we got Deadpool where he, uh, and then X-Force came in with Deadpool 2, but they died. Um, and then he got Deadpool and Wolverine where he officially joined the MCU last year. But could the merc with the mouth, marvel Jesus himself, be about to link up with Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Avengers? Doomsday Reynolds latest Instagram post clearly isn't shooting down the possibility. So check it out. So yeah, this is the week, but I've seen this on social media. I scrolled through it pretty quick so I didn't see who posted it and I was like what the fuck is this? And then I seen it was Ryan Reynolds.
Speaker 1:I was like whoa, whoa whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What are you saying? What do we mean? What are we saying in this? Of course, we don't really know just yet. That's about it. So it's the A, the anarchy A, which would make a lot of sense. You know, if Deadpool is messing around with the Avengers, he would definitely be an archaic, an anarchistic. No, an element of anarchy. There we go. He definitely be an element of anarchy for that team there. You'd be a fool not to notice.
Speaker 1:The timing of his post projection is ramping up. On the Russo Brothers movie, I do believe they just recently announced that Pedro Pascal has wrapped up filming and he's supposed to have a major part. So it seemed like. And they're still working on scripts and shit too. So a lot of shit is still being rewritten as they're filming shit. So it seems like, if I would, just in my opinion I'm not confirming it or not, I'm not confirming anything, just my opinion, just my. This is my theory if pedro pascal has mostly wrapped up his, his time shooting, I would guess they might have, like the, the skeleton of this thing completely, or if not just mostly, done right now and everything else is kind of you know, who can we get? What can we add in here? How can we spice things up with some other connections we can make, but I think maybe just the bare bones of the movie is all might all primarily be done right now.
Speaker 1:Uh, recent whispers during the rounds that a second major doomsday cast announcement may be imminent. Um, that's just fact that the cast of marvel studios next major team-up event does include reynolds, uh his co-star, chating tatum, whose gambit is in there too, with a bunch of X-Men. So yeah, I'm excited for that. If we do get another, hopefully they don't do another. If they do end up doing another fucking, what was that shit? Like 8 hours, 8 hour fucking live stream of just fucking chairs. I'll wise up this time and not just, and not have the whole fucking thing play in the background just for as soon. I'll wise up this time and not just, and not have the whole fucking thing play in the background just for as soon as it wraps up, they release the fucking 22nd version of the thing in the video. So there you go, or who knows, who knows, maybe, maybe, maybe we'll have a livestream and do it. I don't know. I am trying to find more. I'm trying to find room and reasons to do more livestreams. So'll see, all right. So is there room for way?
Speaker 1:Wilson in the russo's brother movie, uh, doomsday, is knee deep in production and his post has uh fans flaming, uh fanning the thing, the flames of speculation. I couldn't speak there, uh, so we'll have to see. Of course, no clear answer or anything on what this means, but it's gotta mean something, right, it's gotta mean something. So only time will tell. By the way, time is going to be a long ass time.
Speaker 1:We know Marvel. They didn't appear at fucking Comic-Con, and I think D23 also released what they're doing, um, because I was gonna put it on for the news drop, but then there was nothing. I don't think they really had anything set up for their movie stuff and, of course, marvel ain't gonna be there either, which makes sense. Spider-man just started shooting and this just started shooting too, so there's like really nothing for them to show right now, um, so no surprise the thing gonna be there, uh, also. But I do have a. I do have a theory, though I do have a theory. It's not really a theory. You kind of guess it if you just kind of, if you just put thought into it. So it's not, it's not some way off, but spider-man of course just started shooting. That comes out in july next year. Doomsday has been shooting for a while now, at least for like what, four, four, four, six months maybe at this point. Um, but clearly, because spider-man comes out before that, we're gonna see more spider-man before we see more of the avengers stuff.
Speaker 1:But if I was, if I was to guess, the first spider-man trailer would probably come out. The first like teaser trailer will probably drop in like february right, because they did they typically do it like what five months before the movie comes out. So we might see the first teaser trailer for Spider-Man in February. I think that's when we'll see the first teaser trailer for Spider-Man, which means we might get the first official trailer in, probably about April. And then I think around there between april and june is when we'll see our first teaser trailer for avengers, doomsday. And I know I said they typically do like five months. I said it is about five months. If it's that it'll be yeah, if it's the earliest it'll be 8, but if it's the latest it'll be 5. But mostly because they'll run it in front of Spider-Man. When Spider-Man comes out on theaters, they'll have that Doomsday teaser trailer run in front of that. That's my big theory. So between April and uh, may I mean April and June, between April and June of next year I think we're getting the first doomsday teaser trailer. That. But we'll see. That's just my little, that's my little theory. It's a little thought process in there, all right.
Speaker 1:Next up, noah centenio is attached to play Rambo in the prequel movie John Rambo that's a lazy title there. Of course I believe I remember this name because I think he is also cast in the upcoming Street Fighter movie as well. So Noah Centineo is attached to play a young John Rambo, the role made famous by Sylvester Stallone in a new Rambo prequel from Millennial Medial titled John Ram. A young John Rambo, the role made famous by Sylvester Stallone in a new Rambo prequel from Millennial Medial titled John Rambo John Rambo. The first Rambo movie was based on David Morrell's 1972 novel First Blood Never knew that, I never knew that About a troubled Vietnam War vet and former US Army Special Forces soldier who was an expert in weaponry, hand-to-hand combat and guerrilla warfare. The five-field franchise consists of First Blood in 82, first Blood, first Blood and then First Blood 2. What First Blood? 2 in 85, rambo. 3 in 88, rambo just Rambo in 2008, and Rambo Last Blood in 2019. And it has grossed over 100 million worldwide.
Speaker 1:So Centennial rose to fame for his role on the Fosters, before breaking out with a sing-sing turn as heartthrob Peter Kravinsky in Netflix's To All the Boys I've Loved. Before films, he also starred in an executive producer spy adventure series, the Recruit for his streamer, and in 2022 the actor appeared opposite Dwayne the Rock Johnson in Black Adam as Adam Smasher. Oh, that's that nigga. It's gotta be the hair Cause. Wasn't this nigga like clean, shaven and short hair and fucking and fucking and fucking black Adam. Yeah, he was the sauce. Like okay, yeah, I think. Okay, yeah, I would have. I would have never have guessed that.
Speaker 2:All right.
Speaker 1:Most recently, he portrayed Gunner Brian Zowie and Ray Mendoza in House of Gallant's Warfare. Oh, he's in that too, okay, cool. Additional credits include Charlie's Angels and Sierra Burgess is a loser Centennial, also hails producer of Banner Arkham Productions alongside Enzo Mark, and debuted its first feature, our Hero Balthazar, at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year. Okay, that's just what the shit he's doing, okay, cool. So that's about it. So, yeah, so Noah Centillo has been cast as John Rambo in the next movie titled John Rambo. So, yeah, that's good. That's a pretty big, that's a pretty big, pretty big legacy role to inherit, though for real. So that's so. That's pretty cool for him. Good on, good on him, alright.
Speaker 1:Next up, legendary in talks for global theatrical output. Deal with Skydance. On Paramount, the Dish alright, whatever, I don't wanna talk about it, all right, I ain't gonna lie. This. This got me excited. This is probably the. This is probably the, the, the most excited news story from the film side I was looking forward to.
Speaker 1:Regina hall and anna ferris are back for screams and wayne brothers and miramax, paramount's scary movie franchise. So core scary movie actresses regina holland and ferris are coming back as brenda and sydney respectively for the waynes brothers restart of the early millennial comedy franchise, said holland ferris. We can't wait to bring brenda and sydney back to life and be reunited with our great friends keenan, sean and marlin, three men we literally died for and in british case, again, because she did, she died in two but she came back in three. Uh, the new scary movie is a big reunion, bringing the waynes brothers back together for the first time in 18 years to write an all-new original script for the series co-pending.
Speaker 1:The miramax production with rick alvarez scary movie is prepping for an october shoot in the time for a june 12th 2026 release. Um, and merrick says the first look deal with paramount. Uh, timing is everything in comedy and a new scary movie couldn't arrive at a better time in theaters when horror movies have hit uh, saturation this year. The genre is screaming for a pie to be thrown in its face.
Speaker 1:I don't know yeah horror movies kind of been on a kind of been on a roll right now. Uh, the near 900 million grossing scary movie film franchise was developed by the Waynes. The latter, keenan, wrote and directed the first two and he's going to return to produce the upcoming chapter. Marlon and Sean wrote and starred in the first two as well. This will be the sixth film of the franchise, with Michael Titties set to direct Titties.
Speaker 1:Titties is a long time Wayne's collaborator, starring as an assistant on White Chicks. He directed a trio of Wayne's films a satirical horror, a haunted place and Netflix hit movies Naked and Six Tuples. Titties is referred to by I can't lie, he's directed this. A weird correlation. I can't lie, he's. He's directing this. A weird correlation. I can't lie.
Speaker 1:If your last name was fucking titty titties, you had to grow up to be funny because what you had to be able to take the jokes that came with it and also you had to be able to throw some shit back. So I'm hoping I'm right that this nigga is actually funny, like you kind of have to be with a last name like that or you're just fucking violent. But I figure he's here, he's probably funny. All right, the scare movie comedy span five movies, the first release of all the way back in 2000, when it was one of the highest grossing R-rated horror movies of all time. Back in the day, the original also set the box office open to record for an already horror movie at 42.5 million. So, oh yeah, so this was this. This is the, the post that they shared on social media to announce that they were coming back, which I'm I'm happy about. Uh, fucking this. This movie was actually how I fucking discovered regina king and anna ferris and yeah, they're fucking, they're fucking great in these movies.
Speaker 1:Um, low-key, don't really get mentioned a lot in terms of like, okay, it might be, because it's just not talked about it at all a lot, but in terms of like, comedic characters, comedic leading women in movies, like they should be in the fucking conversations about it, all right, and uh, this is just a bunch of fucking business. Talk about fucking, you know, direct the producers and fucking who who's repping who and all that shit, but whatever, but yeah, so I'm excited about this. This is, this is. This is great news for me. I love that shit.
Speaker 1:All right, next up, masters of the universe christian wick. Christian wick joins the cast as roboto roboto, I'll just say roberto travis knight is directing the feature for amazon and plans on releasing theatrically on june 5th 2006. Uh, oh, my god, uh, roboto. Roboto has found his or, in this case, her, voice. The Masters of the Universe character, a mechanical warrior, will be voiced by Christian. Okay, voiced by Christian. Is this animated? This is live action right In Amazon, mgm Studios and Mattel's big buzzer, the big screen feature about the universe that one predicts.
Speaker 1:It is based on the quintessential toy line first lost in the 80s and the popular cartoon of the same era, with sensors around Prince Adam of Eternia who, thanks to his power sword, turns into the muscular He-Man and is impugned with superhuman strength and abilities. With his assortment of allies, he defends the planet from the evil Skeletor and his armies. Uh, yeah, the He-Man was a little He-Man, was a little too early for my timeline, but I know what. I know it's very, very popular. Uh, leading the cast are Nicholas I'm not even gonna try to pronounce that as He-Man himself. Jared Leto as Skeletor. Okay, y'all know my thing about Jared Leto. I still cannot determine if this man is a great actor or not. He makes, he makes, just he makes, he makes. I don't think he makes the best calls when he wants to be cast in.
Speaker 1:The lengthy role call includes Camila Mendes as Tila, marina Baccaran as the sorceress, james Purifoy as King Render James Purifoy, I think I'm Malfoy, aren't I as King Render? I think I'm Malfoy, aren't I? Alison Brie as Eva Lynn, charlotte Riley as Queen Malina. Johannes Hukar Johansson as Malcolm Fistfisto, idris Elba as Duncan Mended Arms. Let's not forget Sam C Wilson as Trap Jar, trap Jar, trap Jaw. How for Bjornsson as Goatman? Kojo tricops. Sasir zameda oh shit. As suzy. John huzang as ram as ram man, and christine the loop. Uh vunipola as hussein.
Speaker 1:Uh, roberto was built by men at arms. It is a member of the corpse known as the Heroic Warriors. The character has a transparent metal body. A lot of people want to see the inner rakes of the inside. Roberto has one arm that features changeable hands. Using a call is going to ask.
Speaker 1:The character has traditionally been voiced by a male actor, so you know what that means everybody's going to be playing. This movie is going to be super woke because they cast a woman to voice a tertiary character in a movie about an 80s toy line featuring a plethora of shirtless, muscular men. So everybody's going to complain that the movie is super fucking woke. So there you go. That's cool. Y'all know I'm a, I'm a, I'm a big set, I'm a big snl fan. So anytime I see somebody, anytime I see the alum in something, I get interested in it. Uh, but yeah. So this is planning to come out june 5th. Uh, it's in theaters, but it is by amazon mgm, so don't be surprised if it comes to a prime video not too long. After all. Right, and finally, terrence Stamp, who played General Zod in the Superman films, dies at 87.
Speaker 1:English born actor Terrence Stamp, who burned brightly as a young actor in the 60s with praise. He put up for his roles in Billy Budd the Collector and Far From the Maddening Crowd, memorably played the villain General Zod in Superman and was the highlight of Steven Soderbergh's the Lionel, has died on Sunday. His family confirmed to Reuters. He was 87. He leaves behind an extraordinary body of work, both as an actor and writer, that will continue to touch and inspire people for years to come, said the statement from his family. Stamp bought a fierce blue-eyed stare and an intensive ticket to his roles. He was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for 1962's Billy Bund. He more recently appeared in Tim Burton's Big Eyes. He played an art critic who scores the work of Margaret Keene. In 2013, he played another astolite. I don't know what is what.
Speaker 2:Asthete.
Speaker 1:Asthete the person who has or affects to have a special appreciation of art and beauty.
Speaker 2:Asthete.
Speaker 1:Asthete. Okay, he played another asthete, an art thief who has become an informer in the art of the thief, and his final role was a brief cameo in Edgar Wright's Last Night in Soho and his appearance in the TV series His Dark Material. His first film, billy bund, the new york times set the young actor's performance tarry stamp, a new english actor with the sinewy, boyish frame and the face of a. What the fuck? God damn, we're losing recipes. I don't know what the fuck these words mean is. The is perfect as billy bund, the innocent, trusting sailor who cannot comprehend wickedness. Billy bundy character, and the performance is almost too good to be true. Then his performance as William Ryder in the Collector, which he played, an odd, repressed young man who was kidnapped, who has kidnapped a beautiful woman played by Samantha Edgar, whom he becomes obsessed, won him Best Actor at the Canes Film Festival. He also played a 1966 spoof, modestly Blase. Far From the Maddening Crowd we mentioned earlier. In 1967 he was starred in Blue. In 1968, spirits of the Dead, and during his unusual run of success pitches. In 1960s the deeply handsome stat was momentarily involved with the likes of Julie Christie, bridget Ba and especially supermodel gene shripton. Seeing in the 70s. Uh saw work little and in mostly little, seeing european films such as human and the divine and nymph. Uh. He appeared briefly in 1977 superman, but in a brief but highly memorable scene in general, in which general zod and his co-conspirators are banished from prayer time. The stamp of zod was brought back in the principal as the principal villain. In the sequel superman 2, zod, along with two accomplices, introduced an element of real menace that was missing from the original film. It was gene hadness. Lex luthor was the villain. Uh, and the way the three were clad in all black introduced a whiff of sex and snm into a very vanilla movie. Okay, all right. So yeah, he's done, he's done. He's done a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of movies. Uh, his autobiography stamp album was published in 1988 and he was married to elizabeth work from 02 to 08. So yeah, so rest in peace, terrence stamp. Unfortunately, I'm not too familiar with a lot of his work, but clearly you see how, you see how long this goddamn article is. The man put in work. The man put in a lot of work and was recognized for all the work and the skill of the work as well. All right, that is it for our movies.
Speaker 1:Now it is time to go ahead and jump into some video games. All right, first up, we have a fact that crimson desert has been delayed from 2025 to q1 26. Pearl abyss has announced that its upcoming single-player rpg, crimson desert, has been delayed. It was originally set to release on the ps5, xbox series x and s and the pc sometime in late 25, but now the game will launch in q1 of 2026. The company revealed um. Before the q a session, I would like to first share an update on the development and status uh, which, uh, many of you may have been curious about. The company said during the call the lots of crimson desert, our first large-scale triple-a console game, has been unavoidably delayed by one quarter from the previously announced schedule. As for why they cite that it's longer than expected, timelines arising from schedule coordination and collaboration with multiple partners for offline distribution, voiceovers, console certification and other launch preparations. Uh, we apologize for not being able to meet the original promise. Fourth quarter launch uh, please kindly understand that this is a strategic decision aimed at ensuring success on a meaningful scale. The release date has been internally confirmed for q126. However, given the change in launch timing, we will announce the date at a more appropriate time based on business considerations, rather than making an announcement at gamescon next week. Uh, and then they talk about that. So yeah, crimson desert.
Speaker 1:This is, um, I don't think we've showed off too much on the channel. I'll show a little bit right here. This game is like it's an rpg, but it's like a fucking like everything. Rpg like it has like rpg, it's open world, it it's story-driven, it's got the combat of swords and arrows and everything. It has wall-climbing, exploration mounts, all kinds of shit. It seems that it has a lot of shit just involved in it. Damn, near any and every action game you could think of. This motherfucker takes some inspiration from it. This is from the summer games fest. This camera is fucking weird. I don't know. Maybe it's weird to me because it's different. So you got fucking God of War right there and shit fucking Souls Boss. So yeah, crimson Desert. So yeah, if you were interested or had this game on your radar, just know that it has now been delayed until 2026. Uh, what? What is general? What's the time frame? It's like q frame, so that's from january to january to the end of march. So it's going to be somewhere around that time. It's when it's going to be coming back. All right, all right, so I've been.
Speaker 1:I've talked about roblox a few times on this channel. Um, I have advised for any parent watching or listening to this to always you don't have to be right over the shoulder watching them every, every waking moment, every minute. But I would just advise that you monitor who your children are talking to, interacting with, especially if on this fucking game, because this game is a haven for PDF files and predators and Louisiana is taking a stand as Louisiana sues Roblox over child safety concerns. It's basically open season for sex predators on this platform, which it very much is. So the state of Louisiana is suing Roblox Corp over allegations that it facilitates the distribution of child sex abuse material and the sexual exploitation of Louisiana children through the Roblox video game. Roblox has denied the allegations, stating in a statement provided to PC Gamer that the assertion that Roblox would intentionally put our users at risk of exploitation is corrugatically untrue.
Speaker 1:Mother, hold up one motherfucking minute, because I was just recently introduced. Um, how you? I don't know how to spell the shit. What the fuck? Yeah, this shit, right here. I was recently put on to this shit. Get the. Can you, jesus Christ, oh my god, I was recently introduced to this story, right, uh, long story short.
Speaker 1:Somebody on TikTok was posting how, um, they were essentially baiting uh child predators on Roblox and then reporting them to the authorities, getting them caught on the game. And they basically said they've been doing this and then they were sent a cease and desist letter by Roblox to stop what they're doing. Roblox company issued a legal complaint last week to a 22 year old contact creator known as schlep, who revealed this in a youtube video. Uh, the video, ccdc said on x, the company's lawyer cited violence as such a simulated child child endangerment. They're claiming that this person has been putting children in danger by reporting fucking pdf files on this game to the police. And yet they talk about how the fact that they they put there the risk of exploiting children is untrue. Yet they got that shit against them.
Speaker 1:Announcing the lawsuit, a press release to louisiana attorney general liz muriel said that the lack of safety protocols in roblox that shit against them. Announcing the lawsuit, a press release to Louisiana Attorney General Liz Muriel said that the lack of safety protocols in Roblox endangers the safety of the children of Louisiana. Roblox is overrun with harmful content and child predators because it prioritizes user growth, revenue and profits over child safety. 100% true. Every parent should be aware of the clear and present danger posted on their children by robots so they can prevent the unthinkable from ever happening in their own home. I agree, I would say if I could just take anything from any of my fucking news drops, anything I do on this episode on this platform I might even try to put this thing in a short because I know that's how most people watch it now is that, if I could, if there's one message I want to portray to anybody out there, it is to the parents and it is to very much monitor. If your child is playing this game, roblox, monitor who they are talking to and who they are interacting with, because this thing is a fucking cesspool of child predators. I think there've already been like two situations I can remember where a child was talking to an adult on this game and that adult showed up to their home in real life.
Speaker 1:While robots requires that children have parental permission to create an account, the lawsuit claims that there's nothing in place to ensure the act. That actually happens. Of course, uh, indeed. Defendant does nothing to confirm or document that parental permission has been given, no matter how young the child is, the lawsuit says. Nor does defendant require a parent to confirm the age given when a child signs up. Defendant access to age verification software that requires you to take a photo of a government issued ID, on with a real life selfie, and then verify through artificial intelligence. However, while defendant utilizes that software for other purposes, intentionally does not utilize this feature when new accounts are created. This means children potentially have access to experiences like Escape to Epstein Island, diddy Party and Public Bathroom Simulator Vive, all of which were cited in the lawsuit as examples of highly inappropriate content accessible on Roblox.
Speaker 1:Again, this is a game geared towards children. What is what is roblox? What is he? What is their rating? Okay, it is t14. I thought it was an e-game, so it is t14, but clearly every everything about this fucking game. You could just look at a fucking picture and know that this shit is for children. Just the design of the characters, the fucking cartoony ass, lego style. This shit is designed for children and yet you got motherfuckers making fucking Diddy Party on this bitch. Fucking Escape to Epstein Island on this shit. Like what the fuck are we doing? These games and others off the field were sexually associated material and simulated sexual artisans such as. I don't even make money on YouTube, but I still don't even want to try that that shit right there. A recent report even revealed a group of 3,334 members openly traded child corn and solicited sexual acts from minors. And this fucking game ain't been put in the fucking dirt yet.
Speaker 1:In response to the lawsuit posted on the website, roblox claims that Vista Vend been more than 40 new features in the game to protect its youngest users and empower parents and caregivers. It has taken an industry-leading stance on AIDS-based communication to recently introduce a new AIDS estimation tech to help confirm a user's AIDS through a simple, quick video selfie. Then it said we dedicate vast resources to supporting a safe infrastructure, including advanced technology and 24-7 human moderation to detect and prevent inappropriate content and behavior. But again, the shit you saying here don't match up with shit you got going on, uh, over here. It'll match up with you sending the motherfuckers actually exploiting fucking child predators on your fucking platform. And you send this motherfucker you fucking send this motherfucker a goddamn uh, a legal complaint, a cease and desist letter. The shit ain't adding up. The shit ain't adding up.
Speaker 1:The louisiana lawsuit is seeking various injunctions against roblox, representing that Roblox has adequate safety features, as well as civil penalties, damages, restitutions, legal fees and whatever else the court deems fit. And I don't know how far this can go. But I'm glad somebody's doing something because I do think shit like this motherfuckers need to die. People who can actually give this company serious repercussions need to start looking into this shit and diving into it and really finding some shit out. So we'll see where it goes. Hopefully it goes somewhere, but we got another little sub story in addition to this one. When the world needed him most, he vanished, but when the world needs him again, he will come right back when he's needed.
Speaker 1:Chris hansen confirms that he is going after roblox in a social media post chris to catch a predator. I like how they put it, like how you put it as his middle name chris to catch a predator. Hansen has confirmed that he's working with law enforcement, victims and activists to investigate Roblox in the wake of the recent child abuse controversies. Good fucking shit. In recent months, roblox has faced scrutiny from the world as cops are concerning cases of service, and as the game grows, so too do the allegations in the lawsuit. Chris Hansen, who is best known as the face of the cancer predator is taking on Roblox. In a recent post, the television host and investigator revealed their video. It was a video. We watched the video.
Speaker 2:You may have heard that my streaming crime network, true Blue, and I are investigating the exploitation of children on the popular gaming platform Roblox. Well, it's absolutely true and we're deep into it. I've already been to law enforcement, investigators and victims of this horrible activity, and we have some collaborators, some people who've been working in this space, including Schlepp.
Speaker 1:Hey Schlepp, there we go, it comes full circle, it comes full circle.
Speaker 2:We're best to hold them accountable. Stay tuned, we're working hard on this project.
Speaker 1:That's what I'm talking about. Hanson, slip, get on they ass For real. It was rumored a couple days back that Hanson was involved with the ongoing scandal and backlash against Roblox. This might be the profile boost that the situation needs. I agree I just talked about that with the lawsuit, with Hanson's legitimate TV work weighing heavily into their claims that the robot corporation isn't doing enough to protect children. Um, roblox is one of is one of, if not the most popular game in the world right now. It's wrapped up hundreds of million players of uh exploring a diverse ecosystem of games, most of which are created by the users themselves. There's a dark, dark underbelly to the world of roblox, and it's one that parents are becoming increasingly aware of. I agree, because if there's one thing we should all be able to get, if there's one thing we should all be able to get behind, no matter what color, race, religion, side of the political fits that you stand on, we should all be able to come together as a fucking collective and say fuck, fucking child predators.
Speaker 1:I will say that again, we should all be able to come together and when it comes to protecting children, especially against fucking, child sex traffickers, sex workers and predators, no matter what side of the fence you stand on, red or blue, we should all agree that motherfuckers like them need to be put six feet fucking deep. Fuck them. Yes, they deserve to die and I hope they burn in hell. What side of the fence you fucking sit on, if I gotta be obvious about it, no matter who you fucking voted for, because I didn't put one of them niggas in the White House. Y'all did, but we should all agree. If y'all just wasn't up to it now, fuck all these niggas, put under the jail, put these niggas six feet deep, send them to the void, send them to the shadow realm. You can fuck about none of that. All right, that's. That's my little. That's my little tension, my little. Reflecting real life situations. Part right there, all right.
Speaker 1:Next up call of duty. Call of duty black ops 7 reportedly set to skip the switch to a launch, but a release date and price have leaked. All right, so blops 7 looks to skip the switch at launch, despite parent company microsoft binding 10-year legal agreement to bring call of duty to nintendo on 2023. As part of its push to get activision blizzard's acquisition cleared through court, microsoft promised to release future call of duty games with full features and content parody on nintendo platform the same day as xbox. Uh, I don't give a fuck about that. They ain't bringing it to the switch 2. How fucking surprising. However, according to a reliable leaker, bill Billcoon, black Ops 7 is set to release on November 14th 2025. Pc, xbox, xbox One and the PS4. And the 5. There you go Now.
Speaker 1:Black Ops 7 may eventually launch on the Switch 2, but as it stands it won't make the Nintendo. It won't make Nintendo's new console alongside Xbox. So there you go. There you go. There you go. Let's see what's it working on Getting the long-running first-person shooter to Switch, community getting to franchise on Switch. Both teams are working on it. We'll show details when it's ready.
Speaker 1:Bilib bill also said the xbox versions will get a physical release with a deal with the disc included, in contrast to most xbox games as of late. As for the price, it reportedly costs 80 euros, which suggests uh, 70 here in the us. Uh, so, as rumor, rumor has it that it won't be 80, it'll stick to 70, but we'll see. But I would also probably guess that, just like um the last black ops, this is probably gonna come day one on a game pass as well anyway. So there you go, all right, and finally resident eight.
Speaker 1:Well, and finally, resident evil requiem will have three playable characters. It's claimed, and insiders claim that three playable characters resident evil's claimed. An insider has claimed that three playable characters in Resident Evil Requiem. However, we've only seen one in action till now. Ahead of the new gameplay trailer at Gamescom opening night, it is.
Speaker 1:We might see if I can find that Resident Evil Requiem has been receiving a series of leaks daily. Recently we learned that the upcoming game will feature Last of Us combat and vehicles Also learned other story details. Now the key leak says that there are more playable characters. Um, requiem will probably have alissa as a playable character for a bit. Uh, the leak says that uh playable comes from none other than aesthetic game. On twitter, in one of his previous posts, he stated that many diehard fans will feel that re9 is oddly like revelations, like the Revelations games.
Speaker 1:A fan asked whether the upcoming game will have four characters to play, like Revelations did, and Dusk Golden replied that the players will be able to step into the shoes of Leon Grace and a little Alyssa. You didn't hear that right there Leon Grace and a little Alyssa, but that's really it. So that's true, they say a little elisa, but that's really it. So this true, they say a little elisa. I believe elisa is the main character we've seen so far, the female character we've seen in the in the trailer so far. So if they're true, we'll take it with a grain of salt, but let's just remember right now that it is true. It seems like elisa is actually going to be the character we might play with the least, which is surprising, with her being the first one that has been marketed in the game.
Speaker 1:As of now, players have only seen okay, my bad, have only seen grace ashcroft as a playable character. My bad, I recant my statement. That hurt that great. That's not the same character and we have yet to learn any new ones. Just going as clan. That uh reiterated several times that leon will be a main protagonist, but alissa is a new name. For those who don't know, alissa ashcroft, the grace's mother, is apparently the giant woman monster following her in the trailer. That makes sense, because then the trailer kind of hit that um, uh, in that first reveal trailer. Um, her boss kind of brought a case to her and he mentioned the fact that the case he's bringing has something to do with like. And he mentioned the fact that the case he's bringing has something to do with like, what happened to her mother or a case that her mother was also doing. So I mean, it makes sense if that's gonna be an important character in the game as well.
Speaker 1:In other news, resident Evil remake. The next Resident Evil remake are expected to arrive in 27 and 28, which is what will be what? What was the last one? They did 4, right, right, so what? That'll be resident evil's five and six remakes they got coming out, uh, and then we got the movie by zach krieger, the director of uh, barbarian and the weapons. Speaking of that, you know this is a. This is a good time.
Speaker 1:I have been throwing around the I think I mentioned this before, but I've been throwing around the idea that the first series I stream will actually be Resident Evil, and for me that's a pretty big thing because, one, I've never played any Resident Evil game before and, two, the reason I haven't played them is because this game fucking emotionally and psychologically fucking scarred me as a child that I stayed away from fucking. I stayed away from horror games in general my entire fucking life. So maybe it's, maybe it's time to face that. And I've been messing around. The first series we do, uh, exclusively on twitch, so, like, I probably won't even upload them to youtube, but we'll see. But the first thing I do on twitch is going to be me playing the resident evil series. So if that, if you're interested in that, then you know, let me know, motivate me more to fucking make moves to get it done.
Speaker 1:All right, but with that, that is our last video game story as we move into television. Uh, I forgot to hold on. I mean, I forgot to do this. We gotta fucking refresh everything, so I gotta do all this. Fucking ads everywhere. All right, god damn brother, what the what the fuck is the point of having eyelashes when they get in your damn eye more than the fucking debris they supposed to block?
Speaker 1:All right, star wars jedi character is making his tv debut next month. Kyle kestis is finally making his way out of the game and coming to a tv screen near you on september 19th, which is super fucking cool. Um, we'll finally get big cow, big cow kestis coming out. The games getting to more of the star wars lore. A little bit of a cab, a little bit of a caveat, though, depending on what you think of the games in general, but I mean the star wars jedi series is one of those popular game franchises. I mean not the game, the show that's coming.
Speaker 1:Players have fallen in love with the main character, kyle kestis. However, kisses only appear in video games for quite some time and has not made any appearance in any other star wars medium. That's about to change, as lego star wars rebuilt the galaxy is bringing kyle outside of the game. So yeah, it is a. It is a lego star wars special. So yeah, but is he being voiced by? Is to be voiced by his kid? Is to be a voice by a boy in front of his big ass castles? Oh, let me say it up here. Um, the details about cal kess's tv debut comes from a new blog post on starwarscom. The blog is about a four-part sequel series lego star wars rebuilt the galaxy pieces of the past. That's a fucking hell of a title.
Speaker 1:Although no details about the character's role in the series has been revealed, it is known that, okay, camera monaghan will return to portray the character. The cast of the coming sequel will appear below. So that's all I'm worried about, but, if you're interested, we got billy d. He's going to be Lando. He's coming back. We got Alan Tudyk in this bitch. Ben Schwartz, dan Stevens, gaten Matazaro, Tony Revolori, goddamn Bobby Moynihan, marcy Martin, michael Cusack, ahmed Best, darth Jar Jar, andy Dibb, Sam Whitworth there you go. Phil Lamar this is a hell of a cast, though, I'll admit it. Jake Green, shelby, young Dee, bradley Baker, naomi Ackie, kevin Michael Richardson, kelly Marie Tran oh there, he was right there. Cameron Monahue as Cal Kestis, james Arnold Taylor and, in a special appearance, by Mark Hamill. In other news, star Wars Outlaws is coming to a switch in December and the Outlaws sequel is canceled very, very early. No surprise, there here's a trailer, if you care about that, hi.
Speaker 2:We're all back. Hi, we're all back. A little while ago I accidentally mashed up the galaxy we all know and love for good. Good guys became bad guys. You insolent child Good guys became bad guys. You insolent child Bad guys became good guys. I find your abundance of faith encouraging. It turns out I kind of Okay, that's pretty funny, this could still be a good thing.
Speaker 1:That was Mark, right there.
Speaker 2:My name is Solitus. I've spent countless eons gathering power to unmake this galaxy once and for all.
Speaker 1:Why does that sound like the nigga who does his voice on Robot Chicken?
Speaker 2:Stop breathing so loudly, zeta. You blew our cover. We have to defeat Solitus before the rift goes critical. If Dev and I join together, wow, maybe we could beat him. We can't trust a Sith. Sith. Treachery is legendary Legendary, you're making sound like Shaq Black. My two favorite Jedi and I'm here as well. You ready to strap in one second?
Speaker 1:I'm almost done I can't lie, this actually looks. This actually looks pretty entertaining. I can't lie like I was like, oh, it's a little fucking jedi card, I mean it's a little fucking lego cartoon, okay, but I ain't gonna lie, this shit actually looks shit, actually looks pretty shit, actually looks pretty fucking entertaining. All right, but yeah, and you know another point, because kyle's gonna be in it making his tv debut. So that's really cool, all right.
Speaker 1:Next up, we've got vault rising reveals, the first look at the superhero costumes in the boys prequel series. Of course, jordan king, the only writer on the damn empire website. Uh, as kermit the frog once said, life is made up of feelings and partings. That is the way of it, and so follows that one. Uh, that uh. On the same day, we've seen the boy star, anthony bid, anthony bid, anthony star, bid farewell to homeland, and we'll talk about that next. Uh, shooting raps on the boys. Um, we get our first look at vault rising, the upcoming post-world war ii sequel prequel series, and you can check them out below. So we got jensen ackles as soldier boy coming back once again in this show. Um, I don't know anybody else here. Oh, here we go. Elizabeth posey as private angel. We got mason die as bomb site and we got will hochman aspedo. I can't lie, these fucking costumes are fucking dope, like this one particularly so. We got Gomez cover, as the portraits above make very clear.
Speaker 1:Showrunner Paul Gellong. The boys prequel is going to be a period piece. We got Jensen Ackles yeah, I just talked about that. Conspicuously acid from these cash shots, as the previous announced. Co-leads Aya Cash. But rest assured that the star whose Stormfront was the first successful subject for one, frederick Vaught Compound V, will get plenty of screen time in the coming show. Scriptly outlined Vaught Rising was was initially, or when it was originally ordered to series.
Speaker 1:The prequel is a twisted murder mystery about the origins of vault in the 1950s, the early exploits of soldier boy and the diabolical maneuvers of a soup known at to franz at storefront. Who's then going by her? Uh, clarifault, uh. How exactly all the prequels elements come together, uh, very much remains to be seen and the show doesn't have a release timeline just yet. But until we catch up with Soldier Boy and the company, there's plenty of boys left. We got Gen V coming back pretty soon, then the fifth and final season is wrapping up production. There's also an animated anthology in the pipeline too. Is that just? Is that just? Is that just diabolical? Just doing a new season of Diabolical, diabolical? Uh, oh no, this is. This is super fucking old. This is 2021, okay, whatever, uh, all right, so, yeah, we have that. So, following that up, we've got anthony star, who bid a. Okay, they're not the only writer on here. We got, uh, the boys.
Speaker 1:Anthony star bids a emotional farewell to Homelander. He quotes I will always be grateful. It's the end of an era for Anthony Starr. For six years now, the Kiwi actor has donned the blood-soaked cape of Monanical Monster Homelander on the Boys, taking the Superman architect and sending it to astonishingly dark places In a role that will surely go down as one of the greatest TV villains. I agree With the show confirmed to end with the fifth season. Star is leaving those red boots behind and and have a rap production. He's posted an emotional farewell to the character.
Speaker 1:I love this show and I love this character truly. He wrote on instagram and a lengthy tribute I will dearly miss heading to work knowing that we will aiming, but knowing what we were aiming for, but never knowing where we would find ourselves by the end of the day. Only that we would have fun and it would be creatively rewarding in the extreme. This complicated character allowed the space and range to discover and push boundaries in a way I have never expected and I will always be grateful for this experience. Yeah, you gotta think I was.
Speaker 1:As the show went on, I would continue to think just like, god damn, how does Anthony star just like where does he find the shit to like to like motivate a character who just has so much fucked up shit going for him and and is involved in indulgence and so much fucked up shit? A star called homeland is a highlight of my career. Adding he didn't expect the show to become such a cultural force. When we began I had no idea what was coming. The juggernaut left the station and never stopped, except for that covet moment. Oh, and the strikes there was that too, but apart for those two times, it never stopped boldly making its mark on television landscape. There's nothing else like it. It lives in its own lane.
Speaker 1:He thanked the crew, the Eric Kripke and the fans. You are the lifeblood. Without you we don't get to do this and our fans are second to none. Mad love to you and deep respect for your taste. And you read. I can read the full thing below. So, yeah, speaking of that man, I wonder would have got five seasons of the show if covet didn't happen or if the strikes didn't happen. That's interesting, but yeah, so anthony star has finished rapping on season five of the boys. I would expect we're probably going to get more posts like this from the rest of the cast as they also wrap up and be a goodbye to the show and the crew and their characters. Um, yeah, especially especially people like anthony star, who like really kind of, who really got on the map thanks to this show. So, like, probably, like you know, jack Quaid and you know the motherfucker plays like the Deep or Annie and all people like that. So there you go.

Speaker 1:I didn't know that. I know that as a fucking um, this was a song on, uh, um, that album with Bass and the, the, the Hicks. I didn't know so. So, yeah, so we got black mirror coming to a comic comic format. I thought it was pretty cool, all right.
Speaker 1:And next up, uh, disney, green lights, the coven academy, which is a supernatural dramedy series about teenage witches in training. I can't lie, the first time I saw this I thought that was Mindy Kaling there. I'm disappointed to learn and see that it's not. Uh, disney has given a green light to the supernatural theory coven academy. The series is a single cam project from Tim Fertile, the creator of the Emmy award-winning high school musical. The musical, the series what the fuck? That fucking name bro, what the hell. So it's a series on the musical. Uh, it's a series on the musical of the movie that was a musical. So there you go. Uh, starring a young olivia, rodrigo, covenant Academy was ordered to pilot on March and will now premiere on Disney Plus and Disney Channel sometime in 2026.
Speaker 1:Set in New Orleans, it's a thrilling, witty blend of magic, mystery and teen drama. Follows aspiring teenage witches who are bound by destiny to guard their city against dangerous ancient fortress fortress forces, between unraveling dark mysteries, mastering volatile magic and facing off against distinctly cute oh shit, I just know what's the time. I gotta kind of wrap this up here. Uh, rivals, they must also never get the heartbreaks and deep bombs that come with it growing up. Uh stars, a bunch of people I'm probably not gonna know. Uh, malina Wiseman, uh, malina. Polly Wiseman as Brian, tiffany Thiesman Thiesessen as Katie. Uh, wait what? Oh, I'm sorry. Tiffany Thiessen as Miss Graze. Malachi Barton as Jake, louis Thresher as Ollie, jordan Lefwich as Sasha as Tegan, and the recurring guest stars include Brandon Timberley as Alexander, swayam Bahadi as McKenna and Keegan Connor Tracy as Tamora.
Speaker 1:It's an innovative format that blends supernatural intrigue with friendships, challenges and self-discovery of the teenage experience. Under Tim Fertile's creative leadership, the magical high school comes alive with a breakthrough cast, continuing our tradition of creating stories of stars that connect deeply with today's generation. So there you go, got a fucking Sabrina the Teenage Witch in high school type shit. So there you go. All right, and our final TV story. We got the Traitor's Heads to NBC. That's not our final trailer. Hold on, I forgot to grab, we ain't got that. That's our final story, all right.
Speaker 1:And next up, we got the Traitor's Heads to NBC with a civilian version of the backstabbing game. Alan Cunningham will continue to host and the celebrity incarnation of the game is going to remain on Peacock. I didn't know, this was like two different things. Apparently, peacock will continue its streaming iteration of the Traders for at least what? For at least two more seasons.
Speaker 1:The show has been renewed through its fifth installment and season four has announced its cast. Uh, we're announced to bring Traders highly engaged fan base as we discover the next generation of legendary gamers and schemers, did it with our resident host, the gameplay master of ceremonies, alan Cumming, on board to introduce complete strangers to new epic missions and twisted gameplay. This new version for NBC offers a unique opportunity for the cast and audience to meet each other for the first time, and we know it will be incredible to watch. Traitors has been one of Peacock's most successful series since launch. Season three, premiered in January, spent five weeks in the top 10. The season also earned five Emmy noms, including Outstanding Reality Competition and Outstanding Reality. Host. Traders is proving itself to be one of the most gripping and talked about reality competition shows in the world. We're thrilled to be working with NBC to open up the experience to a new group of civilian players whose stories and strategies, with the gameplay, are even more predictable. So it started off with all celebrities and now, for the first time, they're just about to get regular ass people on the show. I kind of thought it was always like regular ass people on the show, but you know, if you're interested in it, just know at least got two more seasons and one with a celebrity and one with the civilian version. So two, two spots to watch it on peacock and then on regular TV on NBC. Speaking of multi-platform viewing, by the way, kevin Costner and Jake Gyllenhaal are going to star in dramedy Honeymoon with Harry. So there you go.
Speaker 1:The NBA has unveiled a TV schedule for the upcoming 25-26 season which spans three networks and two streamers. And man, when I show y'all this shit, this is gonna be crazy. So we know it's gonna be confusing basketball fans, but it sounds even more confusing than it actually is. The nba has released a full schedule for the season. Uh, after the league made new right deals will span three networks, two streamers, on a weekly basis. Here's how the press release explains all right, the partnership, every new with disney, new agreements with nbc and amazon.
Speaker 1:The schedule of national games will generally feature mondays on peacock, tuesdays on nbc and peacock. Wednesdays on espn and espn app. Thursdays on prime video, fridays on prime video and espn. So there's a prime video in the afternoon at abc espn app at night. Sundays on abc espn app in the afternoon and ABC ESPN app at night. Sundays on ABC ESPN app in the afternoon and ABC Peacock at night. Every national game will be available on streaming services.
Speaker 1:My god bro, nba was already hard enough to fucking figure out which channel these fucking games came on. You had TNT onuesdays and then you have fucking some days they come on on espn, some days they come on on abc. Those usually come later in the season, uh. But you also had nba tv. Uh, had games on as well. And then you also have fucking um. You also gotta worry about the fucking local games, because local games have deals with like fucking local tv networks. So you fucking got that shit too. So it's already where. So here it is. This is this. These are the graphics that they show to showcase how the the schedule is going to work for the NBA games. So there you go Sunday, abc, nbc, peacock Monday, peacock Tuesday. As we just said, this shit is already a lot, and then they had this fucking shit, which makes it even worse.
Speaker 1:Tip-off is across all four. The NBA Cup is across all four. Christmas is only on ESPN and ABC. Month of the King only has NBC and Peacock. Rivals Week is a call for christmas is only on espn and abc. Month of the king only has nbc and peacock. Rivals week who gives a fuck about rivals week. It's across all platforms. The all-star game is only across two. The play-in tournament is only on a prime, the playoffs, everything.
Speaker 1:And, as usual, the finals are still only on channel 12 bro bro bro, yeah, and then and then the teams have to post their schedules their own self. This is fucking crazy and, like I said, you got fucking local markets for this shit too. It's like the Knicks New York. There's like probably a specific channel that shows the fucking New York Knicks games when they aren't on a national platform. Like I don't hear in. Uh, here in milwaukee, um, there's a channel dedicated. I don't even fucking know what it is there's. There's a fucking I think it's a fucking streaming platform that has the fucking bucks games. I gotta fucking sign up for that bullshit if I want to watch bucks games that don't air on national tv. It's fucking bullshit. And you and you can't watch them on um, what the fuck is this shit? League Pass either because of the local fucking blackout shit. So, like I imagine, my mother my mother already has a hard time keeping up with when these fucking games come on and what channel they come on. I try my best to keep her updated on when the games are coming on and what channel Imagine I have to show her this shit. She ain't gonna wanna fucking watch this shit. You gotta have a fucking key just to keep up on this shit. Motherfucker, we have to fucking print this shit out so we know what the fuck is going on on a daily basis for these fucking games. That's fucking crazy. But I just need to showcase that. As a Bucks fan, I never turn the fucking music back on. As a Bucks fan, I needed to showcase that shit to kind of talk about what was going on with this fucking fruit fly. I'm worried it's going to visit this fucking right in my damn mouth and shit. But yeah, there you go. That is the nba tv stream. So that is it for our tv section and that that is the end of the audio experience for this episode.

Speaker 1:I know I'm behind on uploading episodes. I gotta get. I don't even. I don't even think I did the last news drop on the audio platform. I'm sorry, I'm kind of forgetting y'all, I'm leaving y'all behind, but I'm gonna a catch up on everything I promise. I got to wait until the shit renews Cause I can only upload a certain amount of a certain X number of minutes are available to upload within a window.
