Hello, all you awesome people out there, welcome and welcome back to GeekVisions Entertainment, the one-stop shop for all things film and video games, you know, with the more focus on the more nerdy aspect, which is pretty much all of it, because it's all nerdy about these days. I'm your host, as always, hoover, and I'd like to welcome you to another edition of news drop, giving you some of the big news stories coming out of our big three in the time period of whenever I do them. Uh, this was gonna cover pretty much things from April. Uh, I ain't gonna lie, it's been a pretty. It's been a pretty slow news cycle about right now. Uh, mostly because one big event happened, especially in the realm of movies, especially because one big event happened that we'll talk about, um, so we'll go over that there, but it's been pretty slow. So we're gonna be some some older news stories. Uh, mostly because it's been a minute since I did this um, but things happen quick, as soon as some, as soon as one thing happens, another thing happens and you think you're good, and then the ball starts rolling and you don't know. So we got a few things to cover here today. I got a nice little stash of articles we're going to talk about, uh, some things a little older. I do have a few more recent things we're going to talk about too, but for the most part it's, uh, most of the things that happened at the start of this month. Maybe, if you know, uh, we're on, it's currently april 10th, so this is pretty much covering most of everything in at least the last 10 days of this month of april. So that's what we'll be covering here. So some of the stuff we're going to talk about uh, one, that big event I talked about, cinema con, went down. So a lot of, a lot of uh production companies uh showed off some stuff there. So that's where a lot of the news was. Um, we also got some news on the minecraft movie. What's going on with that? Um, we lost another hollywood legend, so we'll be talking about that. Uh, we also got some big news with the brand new oscar category and possibly who could be playing the next villain in dune 3? Uh, that's for film.
Speaker 1:On the video game side, big news updates for season two of marvel rivals. Um, we've got, uh, the bafta remember I talked about that. We've got the bats for the video game award winners, so we're talking about some of that here. Um, we're talking about a little bit about some brand new news on the switch 2. Uh, pretty sure most of y'all have heard about that by now, so we might talk about that for a little bit.
Speaker 1:Um, we got some news on bethesda and a brand new reveal coming out of sony. Uh, and you won't believe what it is, but you probably will, because it ain't like it's nothing new. Um, we're also going to have um talk about, uh, what is it talking about? A marathon just revealed some stuff. So we'll talk about a little bit about what they showed off, um, but you know, not nothing too major there.
Speaker 1:And then on the tv side, we've got some casting updates. Is for paradise, season two of paradise, the simpsons gets another big update. Uh. We got some news on a potential live action scooby-doo series, uh, but we do have a new series on a crafted tiger, hidden dragon, and some updates on will of fortune. For all my, for all my old heads out there, will of fortune and jeopardy. And then we also have some news on something deadline is doing uh with with some streaming. So we'll be talking about that stuff all here today, all right. So, like I said, that's what we'll be talking about here today.
Speaker 1:So, enough talking, let's just get right down to it, shall we all right? So, first of all, cinema con 2025 full recap. So we got a little nice little recap of all the studios and all the presentations that they talked about. So let's go over a little bit here to right now. Uh, how visible is this? Because this is like not very visible, because it's it's. They have very small text on this bitch, I don't know why. I guess I'll like a white background, so it's real hard to see. Okay, that was a little better, all right, that's a little better, all right.
Speaker 1:So, big week movie fan, cinema con took over las vegas. Uh, that happened between the 31st and the third. Uh bought off some trailers, some footage behind the scenes, look, titles, cast reveals and a bunch of stuff. So let's just go over some stuff real quick, just to kind of talk about it. So day one was sony. Uh, sony, open cinema con.
Speaker 1:Uh, the studio had big plans for horror fans. They showed off a little bit from 28 years later. They also announced I know what you did last summer, and they showed off the latest installment of the insidious series. Uh, they also reaffirmed commitment to some major ips, including a resident evil. I did not know that. Demon slayer, I didn't know. Is that? Is that the, the anime demon slayer? Oh, yes, it is. And chainsaw man what the fuck? I did not know any of that. Uh, post this video confirmed casting and plans for a series of four beatles biopics. Uh, I could bring that up in another story because I want to talk about that. Look at that too. Uh. But for me, the most exciting news came from the spider-verse. The studio offered updates on both the third animated miles, morales flick uh, spider-man beyond the spider-verse and tom holland's mcu spidey with spider-man.
Speaker 1:Brand new day. Uh, we'll talk about brand new day first, because they didn't really talk about too much. Uh, let's see if I can find the, the brand new title card that they're using for it, the d brand. That's because I'm very far away for some reason. Uh, let's see, let's see, let's see. I looked it up, I ain't gonna lie. Uh, but spider-man was a.
Speaker 1:It was a comic series that happened after the? Um, the infamous and unpopular um, what was it called? One More Day that erased the marriage and the history between Peter and Mary Jane. Make a long story short. Aunt Meg was dying. Peter made a deal with Mephisto, who's basically Marvel's Satan, to bring Aunt May back. Mephisto agreed to the terms, but only if he could have Peter and Mary Jane's marriage. They went through with it. So it was like decades of development between the two of them was basically erased after that storyline and Brand New Day was basically the first big story, the first relaunch to come out of One More Day. So there you go.
Speaker 1:I've seen some things talking about what. What happens in the comic of brand new day? I don't know. I don't know how much of it is going to be brought in from what. From what I've pulled from everything, it seems like the most the biggest thing is going to be just the fact that this was the uh, the, the storyline that really brought in mr negative into the uh, into the comic world who you y'all may know from the uh spider-man video game insomniac spider-man game from a few years ago the first one. So it was the comic that brought him into the fold, but, um, yeah, I think this is pretty cool. I said they kind of have this is from the animated series, but yeah, it's the one that brought in mr negative.
Speaker 1:Um, I think they'll'll mostly be adapting more of the name as opposed to the actual more things from the comic. Like I said, it's not a massively popular comic, it was a relaunch, so it just introduced a bunch of new characters. I feel like they just sort of took the title because it fits what's probably going to happen in this movie perfectly and it's basically an entire reset and re in a reset and a clean slate, and I think tom holland calls it a poll, like it's a brand new start or something for spider-man in this movie. Of course, this comes after, uh, the adventurous doomsday casting, which tom holland was not a part of. So, uh, and I I misspoke in the last news drop or whatever we had for that, and I said brand new day is the first one, um, before doomsday, but it's actually the one after. I believe this is currently stated as the only film that is going to come out between doomsday and secret wars, so that's gonna be pretty interesting to see.
Speaker 1:I still very much hope this is a street-level, ground-based Spider-Man movie. I hope it's just him handling things in the neighborhood with his brand-new slate. I hope it doesn't involve any of the multiversal stuff, any thing that happens in Doomsday, because y'all know Marvel likes to have a cool, cool down movie. That happens after big Avengers flicks. It's mostly it's mostly known for Infinity War and Endgame, but we got a little bit of it from, like Age of Ultron.
Speaker 1:Ant-man came after Age of Ultron, which was the first in his film, and that was like a bit more of a lighthearted, comedic based movie. Did you know? The cycle repeated because ed man and the wasp came after avengers, infinity war and, like I said, that one took place before the events of the movie. The end credit scene, uh, took place during the events of infinity war and then, of course, once we got any game, we got spider-man. Um, far from they came after that. It's basically like the epilogue to that phase in the whole Endgame saga and everything.
Speaker 1:So that's what I think this was going to be. I think it's going to be a little bit more of a cool-down movie. I think they're going to stick it to Spider-Man just kind of figuring out his new life after the events of no Way Home, where everybody forgot about him and he doesn't have his team. He doesn't have his team, he doesn't have his tech, he doesn't have that supporting cast around him anymore. So I think it's supposed to go focus on that I really hope it does. Um, and then probably in like the end credit scene, it'll have sort of the connecting bridge that connects it to whatever hell happened in avengers, doomsday and setting up, uh, secret wars. So that's what I think is going to happen in here, because I've always said I felt like spider-man is like the perfect bridge to connect the avengers level heroes and the street level heroes, if we ever get them. So you know the defenders, daredevil, jessica jones, iron fist, luke cage, all of them. I feel like spider-man is like the perfect bridge to sort of bring those two worlds together and sort of bring those street level heroes into the avengers fold. So that's what I think. Um, yeah and oh.
Speaker 1:And then, like we mentioned, they talked about, um, we got some brand new images of beyond the spider-verse. They showed off a couple images for it. Uh, just a few. We'll kind of look at them here. So there's like this one here. Uh, they don't really tell too much. We got miles and the uh, was it earth 19, earth 16 or something? Earth 16 miles? Uh, who's the prowler in that one? We got that one. Uh, here's a nice little one with all the images compiled together. So, just a little. There's gwen, so we see they reunite.
Speaker 1:Uh, so, yeah, still that fantastic art style, just kind of very super like whited out, saturated, almost like I think this is. This looks like hobie's world, this is like spider punk's world, because you know he has that, um, what the heck do you call it? We like a collage. Is that what's called? We like take pictures from like a magazine and put it on top of something. This has that like collage. Look to it. So I think this might be spider punk's home world. But then you got like this that looks like this very kind of whitish, with all this very whited out, very white, balanced off, very kicked up whites in this image here. That sounds so wrong, but here too sounds pretty cool.
Speaker 1:And they have announced that I think it's coming in 2027. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they committed that it's coming in 2027. So it's kind of crazy, the space between all these movies. I remember when across the spider verse came out, I was like god, please tell me we don't have to wait. Like five, it was 18, so it's like five years between the first and the second. I was like, please tell us we don't have to wait five, six, seven, damn years before we get to this, because this ended on that, that massive little cliffhanger. But of course it is. So we gotta wait, you know, another four years, about three, four years, until we get the next one. So with the habit else that it is coming. So that's cool there. All right, let's keep going with the cinema con stuff. Cinema con two was lion's gate.
Speaker 1:Um, ahead of the release of ballerina, studio revealed many more plans to expand the world of john wick. Uh, including a john wick chapter 5. So we know we got a fifth john wick coming. We got an animated prequel film and a king spinoff. I don't know who kane is. I think I still, to this day, only seen the first john wick.
Speaker 1:Uh, from one franchise to another, the studio to the adaption of suzanne collins latest hunger games novel, sunrise on the reaping, the now you see me series also landed in the official title for the third field and a green light on the fourth in the series. Do the fucking see now you see me movies. Do that well, I feel like I never hear anybody talking about him like that. Uh, and it comes out with a presentation with a live performance from the weekend to promote his film. Hurry up tomorrow.
Speaker 1:Uh, day two was worn, I mean, yeah, day two also continued with warner brothers. Uh, they offered a wide range of projects for family from your like a minecraft movie, which I think was on the verge of coming out by the time this happened. Uh, and the cat in the hat, hmm, uh, they also talked about sinners and the new upcoming mortal combat 2 and the final conjuring film. By the way, a lot of these were shown behind closed doors, so some of these don't actually have anything to show. Um, they might have been like trailers or something, but a lot of them don't have anything to show. I will say that cat in the hat thing. It's surprising. I'm always gonna get the mike myers.
Speaker 1:I didn't know they were doing another one of these. Is it an animated movie? Okay, oh, there's some casting news too that we apparently missed Zosia Gomez, bill Hader, bill Hader's a cat in a hat, quina, brunson, bo and Yang Okay, okay, yeah, I didn't know this was happening. What's moving ahead? Because I smoothed this for some reason. Um, they all saw about maggie jenling halls and jake book has appeared to promote the bride. I forgot about that. That's what the christian bailing.
Speaker 1:We talked about this on like, on the, on the, on the podcast, the audio. Only before I moved to youtube I talked about this. That's like it was so long ago. Jared Brookhart would say for F1, the Formula 1 recent movie. Nah, I'm not interested. This is the first I've. No, it's not the first I've heard of this. I do not. I was going to say it's coming out this summer. This is the first I've heard of it. And then, of course, they ended things off with DC, along with the cast of footage of the superhero film that actually was announced and shown to the public, and we will be watching that in our trailer section.
Speaker 1:Day three was universal in focus. Uh, they talked about, um, the live action, how to train your dragon orchestra playing the music from a bunch of their movies. Jurassic world rebirth uh, they talked about gareth and gareth's direction. I don't know that. Scott johansson, I'm house trailer. I lead to the stage. This shows some new footage. Um, new films from west anderson, which I think is what we're going to be talking about next in our trailer session, because I've seen that trailer before his new movie's out. Uh, it was a lot of sequels talked about. They got a bad guys nobody, which you know we didn't get nobody to. Uh, five nights at freddy we know we're gonna do that. And the black phone and mega 2.0 for horror fans we'll be looking at that trailer too.
Speaker 1:Uh, the biggest part in town, wicked for good. Uh, director john mchuling stars cynthia arrivo and ariana grande appeared and even screamed some footage from the film. They have shit shot for that already. Did they film that one in the first one? Back to back? Oh, maybe all right. In day three we got mgm. Uh, amazon, I'm sorry, m amazon, mgm, I'm sorry. Uh, they put a bunch of their movies, mostly coming out next year, um, but, but, but, luca, uh, guada guadagino guadagino and andrew garfield a for after the hunt this is a fox with carol young for is got is god is what the hell. Chris hemsworth and hallie bear for crime 101 and chris pratt for mercy.
Speaker 1:Some big names in these movies, though. Uh, applaud colleen hoover adaption verity. I think we talked about that recently too. Teaser trailer and recorded message from stars and hathaway and dakota giles and just heart and josh hartner yeah, we did. Uh, michael pijon also appeared for a video message for the thomas crown affair. Uh, I think I've seen it. It's another book adaption they're doing. And then the highly anticipated masters of the universe live action film didn't have any footage, but they did get it behind the scenes. Look at the filming and the costumes. That's cool, all right, uh, paramount also continued.
Speaker 1:We got the? Um, new titles paw patrol movie, a sequel to a mutant mayhem, the legend of ang the last airbender ooh, is that the newest? Uh, that's the new. That's the movie they're doing. Right, because now they're doing the series bitch, that's just avatar the last airbender. They just give me a fucking last airbender. Okay, what is this? There we go. Uh, it is a movie and it is anime. Okay, this is the animated movie uh, and it takes place after the last airbender and they'll be young adults, but he still cast as a villain, steven yunes, in it. Is he playing? Uh, what's his face? Because he was, um, he was he.
Speaker 1:He voiced a character in the legend of korra. He was the. He was the first, he was the first avatar that he voiced in there. I wonder if he's playing the same kid. Are these the same people who voiced? Probably not well, maybe because they're older now. Uh, no, that's not. Her also say are these the same people who voiced them in the in the? Uh in the show, but doesn't look like it all right, I didn't know that was the thing either. So that's news to me.
Speaker 1:Uh, spongebob movie search square. Parents at the smurf. Uh, walking out with a bit of star power edgar white, edgar white, edgar right joined glenn powell, colman domingo and josh brolin to promote the running man. I did not know edgar right was directing that. I'm interested in that now I love edgar right stuff. Uh, they showed the footage and revealed the film recently wrapped channing tanum to the stage for his feature roof man. And then they, of course, they brought a tom cruise for mission impossible. Uh, short off a presentation with a live motorcycle stunt cruise, himself, along with christian mccreary, shows through some set and the new trailer, which we will watch in the trailer section. All right.
Speaker 1:And then day four was uh, is this different day or same day? Same day. And then we closed out with disney, I believe on thursday. Uh, wide, wide umbrella for this too. Um, they brought out Jeff Bridges, jamie Lee Curtis, eli Fanning, david Harbour, jared Leto, lindsay Lohan, julia Louis-Dreyfus, florence Pugh Q Hequan and Jeremy Allen White, among others, which means I just talked about, um, freak your Friday. Uh, the Thunderbolts, tron Aries, the Thunderbolts, tron Ares. Let's see what else did I talk about? Lilo and Stitch, fantastic Four, elo and the next Avatar movie, fire and Ash, message from Kevin Feige on the set of Doomsday and a Thunderbolts themed popcorn box of popcorn designed in the little weedy style poster they have as well.
Speaker 1:Alright, so that was it for CinemaCon. Like I said, a lot of this was. It was one of those behind closed doors kind of things, so some footage will be watching a few of them in our trailer section. Some of them have been made public with official trailers since cinema con happened, but a lot of them were still kept behind closed doors so, but that's everything they get talked about at cinema con. So that's where. That's where most of the movie news was and you'll see later that. You know, it's kind of kind of a little shorter on the on the rest of the news here.
Speaker 1:But let's talk about minecraft. Minecraft launched uh maybe what? Two weeks ago or so, a week ago or so, and it is breaking records in the box office. Wb is here for the movie, booed past all the expectations to score the top spot ever for a video game adaption, with final numbers coming in with more than 12 million ahead of Sunday's already historic estimates. This was the 7th, so this was yeah, so last weekend was its opening, so it still has weekend two to go through.
Speaker 1:Uh, warner brothers of minecraft movie, made with help from legendary struck gold, with a record shattering 163 million opening domestically and 150.7 overseas, for global start of 313.2 million. Uh, thanks to a huge sunday, that's up more than $12 million from the domestic estimate $157 million and $144 million overseas for Global Hall of 101. The film came in tens of millions ahead of the expectations to score the top start ever for video game adaption, which beat out Super Mario Bros $146.4 million in 2023. And that opened on Easter weekend too, by the way, it is easily the top spot of 2025 so far. The biggest domestic loss is Deadpool and Wolverine in July of 2024. It's ahead of Barbie to mark WB's biggest domestic opening since 2016 with Batman v Superman. Yeah, so it's broke a lot, a lot of records, which is crazy because, I'm gonna be honest with y'all, I did not think this movie would work.
Speaker 1:I did not think this movie would be a success. Uh, I thought Roblox was very much past it's. I said Roblox because I was looking at this. I thought I thought, uh, minecraft was very much past its prime. Uh, but here it is. It's still here and the movie is doing a lot of numbers. Uh, seems like it has a very, very dedicated, loyal fan base who went out to see this movie because the movie didn't even look that good to me either, by the way. So that's cool. So we all know jason mobile, jack black, jennifer coolidge and daniel brooks star in the movie, as well as emma roberts, by the way. So that's cool. So we all know Jason Momoa, jack Black, jennifer Coolidge and Daniel Brooks star in the movie, as well as Emma Roberts and Sebastian Eugene Hansen, based off the Mojang Studios video game of the same name. Uh yeah, it's a Minecraft, so don't be surprised if we also have a Minecraft 2, which is in the works, which I think they already announced.
Speaker 1:The thing is, the reviews of it aren't that great from critics. They make a point to point out that moviegoers under 18 gave it an A, so it seems to be a hit with the kids. I guess it's crazy, but it ain't all sunshine and rainbows for the Minecraft movie, because it's been reported that some audiences are trashing theaters and causing chaos. To no surprise, a tick tock viral trend is encouraging mayhem during screening and causing some theaters to kick out moviegoers While employees are getting pushed to their limits. All of us cannot wait for this movie to be gone. So all these Gen Z coked out tiktok, tiktok, dude scrolling kids are just doing a bunch of wild shit in the theater. Um, the star market closing was chaos lately. Check what's been happening in some theaters.
Speaker 1:Several viral videos captured the audience of the blockbuster video game adaption go wild, throwing food, drink and trashing auditoriums. In one one video, somebody was kicked out for holding up a live chicken. What the fuck? Some theaters are issuing warnings, with Cinema United issuing a memo of voluntary guidelines. You know all that good shit. Meanwhile, theater workers responsible for cleaning up the messes are saying they sick of the movie. So, motherfuckers, out here going wild, pissing off all the movie employees. They want this damn movie gone. Let's see what this, let's see what this shit is. You bruh, what the fuck that that's? That's a real. That's an act. That's an actual chicken. That was an actual chicken. So, yeah, that's what's going on. Uh, motherfuckers, just doing shit, doing shit for tiktok.
Speaker 1:Now, uh, react to the mayhem on uh uk chain cinema world. React to the mayhem on instagram, noting that clapping, cheering and shouting I am steve is absolutely encouraged. Don't go full creeper. No throwing, no mess and no filming the screen. That's piracy. Folks, that's actually a good point. I didn't even realize that they legitimately have. They are legitimately bootlegging the damn movie just to get these damn tiktok fucking clips off. That funny. Can y'all hear this? Y'all can't even hear it. My bad, they're really much there. We'll play it one more time just so y'all can hear it. Yeah, so that's what's going down. That's what's going down. That's what's going down in the uh, in the theaters. Speaker 1:A jersey theater posted a statement on facebook saying that minors going to the film must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Uh, so what is happening here? Uh, for the uninitiated like me, uh, a minecraft movie is, for I know what it is. Um, steve. At one point, uh, okay, at one point, a baby zombie falls onto the back of a chicken a chicken, a chicken making a chicken jockey an extremely rare occurrence in the game which prompts fans to erupt with excitement and surprise. Okay, to use a different, if equally nerdy, pop culture reference, this has been like captain america successfully caught thor's hammering individuals in game. Okay, so it's like that. I like how under, I like how I understood the context when they put it in that way. Like, yeah, I'm a nerd, but I ain't, I ain't, I'm an older nerd. Like this shit was hype, but I wouldn't fucking throwing my goddamn popcorn and shit. Most of the videos of chicken jockey eruption started going viral on tiktok over the weekend. The trend spread, particularly among teenage boys. The films go. So, yeah, we talked about that.
Speaker 1:Um, none of the country's three top circuits have issued warnings and one topic says the fast majority of its showings have been without a major incident. So it's just a few isolated incidents, uh, mostly here in the us, because, of course, but it's pissing off theater workers, which is no surprise. Police had to kick out several kids out of a theater during a minecraft showing after their reaction to the chicken jockey scene. Because niggas don't know how to, motherfuckers don't know how to fucking act. Motherfuckers paid to go to a movie and just to get kicked out for a fucking tiktok Chicken Chow. Okay, stitch, why was I about to get kicked out? Why was I about to get kicked out? Goodbye out, bro. This theater is nothing but fucking young boys, young white boys, what seems like all these motherfuckers literally just fucking went to the movie just to do that. Hey, it's helping the box office, it's having this box office, but uh, I feel for those workers, man, gotta deal with that. All right.
Speaker 1:Moving on, a little bit of some sadder news here. Uh, we have lost val kilmer, the film star who may who we all may know as Batman, but he also played Jim Morrison. He passed away at 65. I also remember him from one of my favorite underrated movies, fucking Ghost in the Darkness. I love that movie. Val Kilmer was a homegrown Hollywood actor who tasted leading man stardom as Jim Morrison and Batman, and whose protein gifts and elusive personality made him a high-profile supporting player. Category rules for eligibility and voting for the inaugural award will be announced in 2027 with the complete 100th academy award rules. Specifics of the awards presentation will be determined by the academy's board of governors and executive leadership with a future date.

It's the second relaunch from the kokoa era of x-men and I'm really enjoyed it, and the hellfire gala part was like one of my favorite parts in that comic. So to see that they're adapting that. I'm happy for it. Um, okay, I guess this ain't nothing, so let's go back. So I guess this is kind of where it says. So, basically, we got the hellfire gala, we got a bunch of brand new skins and we have the brand new character. Uh, let's see, we got new heroes, new maps, new team ups and rank adjustments are just a few of the things to look forward to as the hellfire gala begins. Watch the full video. She is the newest vanguard character, so she's a tank, which I do believe was the biggest rumors Was that Emma Frost was gonna be in it, but she was gonna be a Vanguard, which was kind of surprising. But, yes, it's gonna be a Vanguard. She's a new character coming for season two. I do believe they teased Ultron as well. So we see an Ultron 2, but she's coming in the first half. I believe Ultron's coming in the second half, which is funny because you thought we'd be getting Blade either at the end of season 1.5 or at the start of season 2, because he's been hyped up pretty well. But yeah, emma Frost is coming also.
Speaker 1:I've seen the. I've seen. I haven't seen the video, so I haven't watched this, nor have I watched the announcement video either. But I've seen some of the pictures. I've seen the images and I know what the consensus is. I know. I know what the overall, I know what the overall consensus is amongst the Marvel Rivals community on how they're doing things. Because, yeah, I've seen it, we're getting enough. We're getting another thick white woman. Another thick blonde white woman is coming. It's coming to the game. So I know that much, but I haven't seen any of the footage. I've been, because I've been wanting to do it for the damn channel here, uh, but we'll see.
Speaker 1:All right, let's talk about some of the balances that are gonna be coming to season two. Is this everything? I've seen that there's a lot of news about the uh changes coming to, like competitive and shit. I know, like I know, I'm going back to fucking bronze, uh, okay, we'll have to find it uh, but for now let's look at some of let's read through some of these changes.
Speaker 1:Coming to hero, so captain america is getting uh survivability, so, uh, his shield value during his alt is going up to. It's going from 400 to 350, so it's going down. Uh, his, he's going to reduce his base health from 645 to 650, undergo some adjustment to his ability to a slight decrease in his overall, so he's getting less health and his shield has less health in his alt. Dr strains are going to see reduction to his offense limit. His battlefield control, his, uh, his damage is dropping from 18 to 16 um and he's reduced the maelstrom of madness conversion rate of dark magic to damage from 1.3 to 1.2.
Speaker 1:Uh, let's see some movability stuff from hulk. Base move is going from 600 to 650. Cool down time from his guards from 12 seconds to 10, so that's's down. Decrease the charge for leap from 0.7 to 0.5. Magneto is getting increased energy for his ult, so it's now 31. It's going from 31 to 34, so it takes a little longer to get.
Speaker 1:Penny is getting some enhancements. Her Cyber Web now has a chance for crit and reduces the movement speed penalty from finding a white oh cyber web cluster. I can't talk. From 40 to 20. Uh, she's getting increased from our health to 650 to 750. Uh, the thing gets his first. Uh, let's see a slight buff. Uh decreases his leap damage reduction effect for himself and teammates from 30 to 25. Thor is getting increased health 525 to 600 his movement speed. Thor got a little buff, he's faster and he got more health.
Speaker 1:I see Black Widow is getting something, but the fact that it's only one, I can already tell you it's not enough. Receive optimization for a shooting effect where Black Widow can directly shoot after releasing the second kick of edge dancer and after using electro plasma explosion. She needs a whole fucking kit redone. All right, clint's getting improved mobility. Uh has his combat so, so effective.
Speaker 1:I tried to impose uh going from 30 to 20. Increase the damage from sonic arrow from 50 to 55. Decreases the energy for his alt from 3700 to 31 and improves the draw speed from 1.35 to 1.5. Hella is going to get a movement uh movement nerf. But her cooldown from an astral flock is increased, so that's from 12 seconds to 15. Yeah, that kind of sucks. Her Speelfeld damage pierces the knight from 30 to 35, so that gets an increase. Decreased cooldown from Soul Drain from 12 to 10 seconds. Johnny's attack feedback is improved, so let's see Firecluster intervals go from just a point of a second Launch time from his primary attack projectile also has been advanced. Creases cool down to Flaming Meteor from 12 to 15, but adds a new effect After releasing Flaming Meteor, immediately gains 75 bonus health, which starts to fall off 3 seconds later.
Speaker 1:Okay, okay, it gives him a little overshield. After you do it, iron man slightly reduces Iron Man's hitbox size oh, that's fantastic. Gain 100 bonus health after activating Armor Overdrive or Gamma Overdrive. That will start to fall off 5 seconds later at a rate of 30 per second. So Iron man is going to get more annoying.
Speaker 1:Great Iron Fist, let's see, reduces bonus health from uh I think that's his healing 150 to 100, but slow the rate, uh, so 25 seconds to 15 seconds. His damage is lowered of. I don't know what that is. That is a little kick from 10 seconds to 9. Increases the percentage damage of the enemy's max health per strike from 1.7 to 2.1 so they're making him even more of a tank buster now and decreases the cooldown from his kick from 12 to 10 seconds. It's fantastic and a lot. How much we got this is a lot.
Speaker 1:Alright, let's see Moon Knight Crescent Dart increase his new blade effect. He gains 25% bonus health with each enemy hit, which is fucking. Moon Knight Really need a goddamn buff. He gains 25 bonus health with each hit, up to a max of 100. Is Moon Blade his regular one or is that the big Crescent one? Three seconds after bonus health stops increasing will start to fall off at a rate of 20 per second. Speed up his hook. Uh, his alt is now longer fantastic. And increases the number of talons. The fall speed of talons has been slightly enhanced. New fall damage why does? Why? Does moon knight need this? He does not. He does not need more, but he does not need more buffs.
Speaker 1:Uh, we're reducing her survivability but increasing her threat level against strategies and duelists, while optimizing her ultimate ability. Release experience. Yeah, because it's so easy to kill her or cancel her. All right. Uh, removes control percentages while increasing fixed damage. Uh, from 60 seconds to 80 seconds, removes the chaos control. What's chaos control? That would help if I knew the names of somebody. I knew the name. Somebody's move. Uh, increases. Okay, I know that.
Speaker 1:Hurler burst projectile for 30 to 40 and field spell damage 35 to 40. Cooldown of projection from 8 to 10. Phase mind state from 2 seconds to 5 to 1.5. Reworks the slow ability of a rate of reality race should start at 1.5 instead of starting immediately with a linear increase to 35. Slower, 33.5 seconds. Uh. Reducing of peter's damage, uh, uh. Please don't tell you when a soldier got a fucking buff. Uh. Lowering his threat level against vanguards and reducing the marginal error of his ultimate. What does that mean? Reduces the base damage of cracking impact from 100 to 80. Okay, but lower the culling threshold from 20 percent uh. From uh 20 percent of max health to 15. From 20% of max health to 15%. So it does less damage. But now their health doesn't have to be that low for you to kill him and get it again. I don't know how I feel about that. Let's see To the raid.
Speaker 1:His rage gain from 7 to 10. Berserk state has been Berserk. Call. Strike has been decreased from 7 to 5. Reduced rage gain from fairly from 20 to 10 and from vicious rampage from 20 to 15. Rage gain from taking damage has been increased from 3 to 5. And a reason the time enemy is knocked down after impact. From my last stand, from one seconds to seven, point to 0.75. So you can't get as much rage from different uh from the moves, but you get as much range from the moves. But they increased it from the amount of damage he takes.
Speaker 1:Now my boy Warlock. The thing Warlock really needs is a damn fucking movement ability Reducing the frequency of his abilities. What Increases his cooldown for soulbind? It's already Now it's 40, damn seconds. His ult now restores 30 percent of a fallen ally's max health. Instead of a fixed 100 it needs to be 50. I ain't gonna lie. Cloak and dagger uh turn up their ultimate duration of the first three humans. Those will no longer be calculated separately. Instead, they remain active until the duration of the final healing zone ends, at which point all okay, whatever.
Speaker 1:Uh, let's see. Uh, her shield is less 30, 300 to 250. Uh, his regeneration of domain, his regeneration domain cooldown is 25 instead of 30. That's his healing thing. Um, man's health is now higher and effects of their healing fire and ally inspiration can be stacked for some maximum 60 seconds. Okay, man's got a nice little buff Rocket. Uh decreased the healing area of his heals from 70 health to 50 as an effective one-time healing of 55 health to allies hit. Rejectile speed increased from 4.5 to 7. Extended cooldown for Jetpack Dash 6 to 10. Reduces distance from 10 to 8 meters. Uh and his shitty ass ult has increased damage from 40 to 25, also reduced it, but has a new effect during the ability's duration, linked allies receive an additional 100 bonus health points per second, capping at 150. After breaking the link, the bonus starts to fall off after 1 second at a rate of 75 per second. So it gives you less damage, but now it gives you, uh, some bonus health. Okay.
Speaker 1:Tip abilities. New arcane order dr stranger oh shit, these are new. Oh shit, this is a new team of billies. Dr strange, star the witch, now have a ability. Dr Strange is the anchor. Okay, that's why they lowered his health, because now he's an anchor, so he gets plus 100 health and I think as an anchor you get that regardless if they have a witch or not. But that's why Hela and Hawkeye were so broken in Season Zero, because they were anchors and they got um. They got that um damage bonus. So even if you didn't have a loki and a thor in hella's case, or black widow in hawkeye's case, they still got that bonus damage.
Speaker 1:Uh, scarlet witch unlocks a new magical burst ability through her team with dr strange. Okay, stars alive. We got, okay, a cap and a winter soldier. Uh, as a team of baker, captain america gains the cooking cap, has a health buff and a five percent boost in damage output. We might start seeing a lot more captain america's in competitive. Uh, winter soldier will now gain, unlock the devastating stellar impact ability to his team up with captain america. I don't know what that is.
Speaker 1:Okay, mental protection emma frost, along with sylock and magneto. Okay, uh, so now she's an anchor, so she's coming in already. An anchor too, with 100 plus health. Magneto receives an ability through his team up with emma frost. What does that mean? I feel like on some videos for this shit they'll probably talk about it in the uh in the thing. Alright, uh, I'm a little racket.
Speaker 1:And winter soldier, right when it's all, loses an infinite grit ability once and those team up with Captain America. I mean rocket raccoon. Oh, so now that he has a team up with cap, he loses the team up of rocket. Now, luna and name or a nameor has lost the frozen spawn ability from his team up with luna. Snow what you don't get a third turret that sucks dimensional shortcuts, psylocke and magic psylocke is no longer a part of that because she has the one with emma now. Um, gamma charge uh, changes in that one. Doctor Strange uses his Gamma Maelstrom ability because he does the anchor with Wanda. Now Namor gains the Gamma. Oh, namor now has. Now Namor has the. So he keeps his third turret, but now it's a Gamma turret instead of the Ice Turret.
Speaker 1:Okay, metallic Chaos, scarlet Witch, magneto so this is probably not anything at all, because Magneto gets the thing from Emma Frost and Scarlet Witch and Magneto. So this is probably not anything at all, because Magneto gets the thing from Emma Frost and Scarlet Witch has the thing with Doctor Strange now. So this is probably. Yeah, so the Metallic Chaos team up is gone. Volcanic Thor so Cap's no longer involved in the Thor team up. Oh, this one's just gone completely, because Storm also has the one with johnny now too. But if somebody disconnects or leaves at the start of the game, like before the round starts, the game will stop and it'll exit everybody out because somebody left. But it only does that if they leave at the start but not in the middle of the game. So I wish they did something for that. This is very interesting too, because a lot of these people do run in six stacks and play for like 20 hours in a day and that's how they get to like Eternity and one above all and shit. So now it's just like if you get up there, you can't run your six stack, you can't run a three stack, you gotta do solo or duo. So all these people who walk with their six peoples and they fucking carry one other to this, now y'all are gone or you can lose this duo. So that's interesting Shit. I might get back into competitive on this.

So that's why I'm like it's still kind of up in the air how much is still going to affect them, but it might still affect them. So this is a hundred dollar bundle and it contains the last of us part one and part two remastered. So marathon is an all-new project from bungee that's set to act as a reboot for a game released in the 90s.
Speaker 1:In the earliest materials released by the decades of development, we've been given snippets of a shooter that's colorful and intriguing but one. But what's the core premise here? It's Marathon and Extraction Shooter, which I have been hearing, and I ain't gonna lie. If it is, I am immediately turned off. The Extraction Shooter I am immediately turned off. The distraction shooter genre is a tough one to break into, given how few titles dominate the space. If Marathon is an extraction shooter, how will it fare against competition? Marathon is a traditional PvP extraction shooter with sci-fi vibes and cybernating mercenaries. The core gameplay loop will see players accept a series of quests, gear up, load into one of three maps and then attempt to extract successfully, all while fighting other players and digging up loot as simple as extraction shooter gets, which, like I said, I don't do extraction shooters. So I'm immediately completely.
Speaker 1:But the story involves um set in and around a lost colony in the tau cd4, a planet far from our own players, with control runners, cybernetic characters that are little more than soldiers of fortune. They're in for the riches and rewards and each will rate will raid into the world of marathon is an opportunity to seize loot and claim gear for the players. Uh yeah, multiplayer we know this is pvp extraction shooter. Um, loot, we don't know a loose building three categories loot, implants and perks. Players can upgrade, I mean unlock various items as they play, use inputs to augment their character and perks to acquire new skills and abilities, also suggested by the source that Marathon will have a permadeath feature in some capability, which could mean that each death in the game could come with catastrophic consequences.
Speaker 1:They do have a little trailer, which, again, we will watch in the trailer section, but I do believe they announced that the first full look of the game is happening on the 12th Saturday, so so, yeah, so, since this news drop is just going up and, as usual, this probably gonna go up the next day, the 11th, we'll probably do a little solo uh watch and reaction to the first full look at marathon. I don't do, I don't do with strategy shooters, but we'll take a look at it and see how it is also bunch of kind of needs a win right now because they are struggling, brother. Speaker 1:Paradise season two is continuing to build out its cast, with thomas doherty joining the hulu drama in a key recurring guest star role. Uh, exact details on doherty's character are being kept under wraps. He is the latest addition to the second season of paradise, which is currently in production. Previously it was revealed that, oh, shailene woodley would also be joining the show. I didn't know that. First, see the paradise star certainly k brown, james marzing, julianne nicholson, sarah shahai, nicole brighton, bloom alia, matt mastin and percy dags the fourth. The role continues dodged relationship with hulu, as he recently appeared in the second season of the drama series tell me lies. He also appeared in uh take on high fidelity in 2020. He is also known for his role in two of the dissident films at disney and the max reboot of gossip girl girls five ever and the feature dandelion. His rep will care. Uh, hulu, we already know. We talked about that. So, yeah, so new guys joining the cast of paradise. I didn't know. Shailene woolley was in there. That's cool. But yeah, I'm just hyped because paradise was fucking dope. So I'm very excited for season two.
Speaker 1:All right, next up, fox gives a huge four season pickup to the simpsons family guy and bob's burgers. We talked about this. Oh, it's also been announced that American Dad will officially return to the network in 2012-26. We talked about this in the previous news drop, how American Dad was looking to come back to Fox, but there was no news because a lot of the animated shows being renewed was currently up in the air. But now we have an answer, and we have an answer as the fact that they are coming back along with four more years of the simpsons. They can't keep getting away with this. All right. Uh, fox is locking in its animated cornerstones for the remainder of the 2020s.
Speaker 1:In a huge commitment to longer running shows the simpsons, family guy and bobsburgers the network has ordered four more seasons of each additionally. Additionally, fox officially announced that America Dad will return to network in 2025-2026 with a four-year order as well. The renewals will take four series through the 28-29 season. The Simpsons will extend its already ludicrous run through its 40th season. That is insane. I have lived my entire life with the Simpsons airing and making new episodes like it's not like reruns, but no, it's making new episodes throughout my entire life. I'm 32. This bitch is 40 years. That's crazy. Uh, depending on the episode count for the coming seasons will likely approach 900 episodes by the end of the order. Family guy everyone through his 27th season, with bob burgers to his 19th. The order for america dad will accompany seasons 20 through 23 by fox's count to do. All shows will come from 20th and a 20th.

Uh, fox streaming did with hulu, which the two renewed late last year likely played a role to secure the multi-season renewals. America dad sometimes shows up on the charts as well. The simpsons streams exclusively on disney plus, where it occasionally breaks into the top 10, but nonetheless a reliable draw for viewers.

We all know what Scooby-D is. Iconic hannah barbara cartoon dated all the way back to 1969. Uh, 13 more tune shows, 43 animated films throughout the years. Shaggy and Daphne, old friends, they're the two, because typically it's kind of weird, because that's the pairing you actually I feel like it's actually showcased the least clearly you always got Scooby and Shaggy. Daphne and Fred are always kind of paired up together. Recent years we've seen a lot of Velma and Shaggy pairing up. But Shaggy and Daphne are very interesting pair. Even in Velma it was Daphne and Velma. I think Cartoon Network did like a little live action movie where daphne and daphne and velma I think cartoon network did like a little live live action movie where it was all about daphne and velma too. So that's interesting.
Speaker 1:Um, getting brought in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely, lost great dame puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder, together with pragmatic scientists and scientific townie velma and the strange but ever so handsome new kid freddy that set out to solve the case that was pulling each of them in a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all their secrets. Nor do we expect this take on the books to arrive to our screens still, with the stock and asian influence action filmmaking on the biggest small screen rising.

So last monday, uh, they lost the streaming site for contenders television 2025, which basically, though, it's a showcase of series and tv movies that mark the start of a small screen award season. So basically, it's just they have a small little streaming service which has a bunch of tv and tv movies that they think are going to be involved in a lot of that are going to be involved in a lot of the um, the tv awards that are going to be coming up pretty soon. Uh, so they got a total of 27 creatives and cast from 27 shows appeared over a weekend, uh, in dga theater and they just kind of discussed the deep dives with the journey to the projects, tease, what's coming and a bunch of panels. So it's pretty much just shows, when the bunch of shows on a streaming site, you can look and see a bunch of back behind the scenes stories from the creators and the cast, but it's all just like some of the biggest tv and tv movies all on one site so you can watch them and get up to date, so you know things, uh, so you can have a general sense of these shows. When a war season rolls around, uh, some of the stuff they have on here abc's high potential, amc's and rice interview with a vampire, apple tv's dope thief, severance, the studio matlock out of my mind. The last of us. Good american handmaid's tale, yellow jackets, uh, the mirror and the light. Another simple favor the boys, uh, cross running point and the pit. It's, like I said, just a bunch of shows I have on this one platform and you can watch all these shows. Um, you can see them talk to the creators and the cast. On tv, though.
Speaker 1:Uh court rebuffed so cbs loses rights to distribute the will of fortune and jeopardy. So any any old heads watching this right now because I fit any senior citizens that are watching to listen to this right now bad news you can no longer get your wheel of fortune or your jeopardy on cbs. A court will buff the next verse big for preliminary injunction that would have allowed it to continue distributing the two shows. So sony will take over distribution of uh the game shows jeopardy and will afford you from cbs. Uh. California supreme court judge uh in ruling issued on Thursday and denied CBS's bid for a court order that would have temporarily blocked Sony's efforts from assuming distribution. Only a preliminary ruling based on partial evidence, not the outcome of the full case. We're confident once all the evidence is heard at trial, we will prevail on the merits in today's ruling. We're confident once all the evidence is heard, a trial will prevail on the merits and today's ruling. The court itself recognize the balance of harm tips and cbw in cbs's favor. So we will ask the appellate court for a stay pending our appeal.
Speaker 1:And motherfucking tv shows or court case? Uh, it doesn't have a. Let me see if I can find it. Let me just talk about this first. Um, the heart of the lawsuit allegates that cbs licensed the shows at below market rates, failed to maximize maximize advertiser revenue and has, overall, rendered itself incapable of living up to its end of the agreement with sony by implementing far-reaching layoffs that have allegedly decimated teams responsible for the show's distribution, marketing and advertising sales. Basically, they've been making the show for cheap. They haven't been advertising them as much as they need to be. They've been letting people go. They're doing a bunch of cutting corners and cost-cutting measures but unfortunately not allowing them to make as much money from the show as they should. Um, cbs fell on a counter suit.
Speaker 1:Legend that sony is unfairly trying to get out of its deal, maintain that it has mostly compiled with distribution agreements and made billions for sony. They're saying hey, sony, all here lying, they're just trying to get out this deal. They're trying to pay us, they're trying to take the shows for themselves and cut, essentially, cut us out, uh of the deal and keep it all for themselves. So, yeah, basically, yeah, no more, no more jeopardy, no more wheel of fortune on cbs I don't know where they're gonna put it, but not on cbs, no more. All right, let me see if I can find out, uh, if we could find out where this oh well, it's over. Is it? Is it over or is it like there was that the live thing I guess is over there.
Speaker 1:I guess it was a live. I guess it was a live thing. I guess it was mostly due. That don't make it sound like it, though I don't know. Hey, I don't read these beforehand, I just find news stories and I just read them here live on the air. It was just talked about that. Oh, it took place from the fifth to the sixth. That's just the live thing, though right, so was it? Was it Okay? So it wasn't okay.
Speaker 1:I misunderstood what it was. I thought it was, as I explained, I thought it was like a streaming hub that allows people to watch all, just a certain number of shows and stuff in one place for a limited amount of time so you don't have to have 15 different fucking accounts with streamers to watch this stuff. I thought they gathered all these shows, they put them on one streaming platform and it was only available for a certain amount of time. But you can watch these and watch the panels and all that shit at one time so you could be familiar with the shows as award season rolls around. But no, it was just. It was just an event that took place for two days and it was mostly just live streaming the panels, with them talking to the creatives and the cast of all these shows.
Speaker 1:Okay, so that's what I'm saying. That's why I said I don't read these. I just find them and I look at them. That's why it says this event has passed. I don't need the comments. I can get them All right. Well, if that's why it says this event has passed, I don't need the contact. I can get my face all right.
