Speaker 1:

Hello, all you awesome people out there, welcome and welcome back to GeekVisions Entertainment, the one place dedicated, of course, to the big three of visual media, that, of course, being film, video games and television. I'm the host, as always hoover, and we are back with another episode of news drops giving you the news drops, news drop, giving you some of the big stories of our big three. Uh, this is coming from, of course, the end of february 2025. As I record this, on february 26th. So how's everybody doing? I hope everybody's. I hope everybody enjoyed their black history month and all the uh crazy, y'all the insane, crazy shit going on in the world right now, in the country who, and, you know, everywhere else. But you know, hey, I'm here to maybe lighten up the mood a little bit and maybe inform you on some news. Maybe, uh, that passed you up but you didn't see and you missed, or whatever you know, so shit like that. All right, so what are we going to be talking about here in this episode of news drop today? Um, I'm going to follow up with the story from our last episode. We're going to look at what the drop was for.

Speaker 1:

Brave new world in its second weekend uh, we got some, um, big news on ayo edibri I watch saturday night live, apparently that's how you say your last name uh, ayo edibri's next project. Uh, big updates on star wars, disney star wars, uh, and also, um, some changes and some date swaps for james gunn and peter saffron's dc's, uh studios. On the video game side, uh, we got a massive cancellation and what this could mean, uh for the future of uh, of a certain pattern that happened in said game. Uh, we got a delay. Uh, we got some news of some assassin's creed leaks and then we had another live service game shut down. Oh, what a pity. Um. And then for tv, we've got, uh, an update on the punisher for marvel. Uh, we also got our first looks at poker face season two and an update on the cape fear series, a cast and update for that. So that's all our news drops, is it? Of course, you know, at the very end we're going to be watching some teasers, we're going to be checking out uh, and or righteous gemstones, holland, long, bright river, some very interesting stuff. So, yeah, so this is probably gonna be a pretty short episode of news drop here, not a, not a ton of news, but a lot of news to kind of talk about here today. All right, so without further ado, let me stop yapping and let's get right into this news. Then shall we all right?

Speaker 1:

Starting off, I mentioned this, uh, in the last episode. Uh, it had a pretty damn good opening weekend. Um, if you're interested, I did see the movie myself. I put my opinions out on an episode which is basically kind of the new way we're going to start doing reviews and stuff. I talked about it. I liked the movie, I thought it was very solid. I thought it was pretty good. It's just a nice little action adventure, little popcorn movie.

Speaker 1:

But we got an update on Brave New World's second weekend. It's had one of the worst second weekend drops in MCU history. Yeah, so we talked about it. Like I said, it had a pretty good debut week, but the second week not so much. One of the worst in Marvel history, apparently Barely outclassed Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania. They don't got the number for it, though, in terms of like what the numbers were, ant-man and the Wasp, ant-man and the Wasp Quantumania finished with around 400 million worldwide, but that budget was about 300 million. But Captain America 4 fell by 68% in its second weekend. The claim that has yet to hit the 150 million dollar mark, domestically, at least here. Uh, this is the third biggest uh drop in the mcu history. Um, it is slightly below, like they mentioned, and then 3 that had a 69% drop, uh, but of course, the largest was the Marvels, with 78%. Uh, both those came out in 2023, which we know was a big down year for Marvel, probably the worst, the worst year that they've had so far.

Speaker 1:

Um, maybe, if you don't count like phase one stuff when it was, when it was introducing shit, um, but yeah, then of course, the next year they, they changed up their strategies, they retooled stuff. They're like we ain't gonna release so many movies, uh, and shows in one year. Of course, um, I think this year is an outlier for obvious reasons. A bunch of the shit they already had shot, done and ready to go. That was, um, they had pushback, probably because of covid and things like that, um, or, you know, because of the big jonathan major stuff.

Speaker 1:

So some changes internally. So this, this year, is an outlier because they have so much stuff that was already ready to go. Um, of course, they, they greenlit all this shit before they made those changes, so they got a bunch of stuff that's just ready to go. Um, of course they they greenlit all this shit before they made those changes, so they got a bunch of stuff that's just ready to go, so they just kind of got to get it all out. Um, but I think next year everything's gonna go back to being a smaller amount, um, and so we know the movie sits a rotten 49 approval rating from round tomatoes.

Speaker 1:

Uh, again, that's only a couple things I like how I still find it funny how they repeatedly use ant-man 3 as the outlier, because yeah, ant-man 3 was, ant-man 3 was kind of ant-man 3's ass.

Speaker 1:

I can't lie to you I I like, like I came out of this one at least enjoying the time I had with it watching it. Can't say the same thing for ant-man 3, which is a shame, because I fucking love the ant-man movies. Like the ant-man movies are movies that like grew on me as I watched them. No pun intended, no, no pun intended. But like I remember watching the first ant-man, I thought it was okay. Um, honestly, it kind of felt like how I did, coming out of this one, coming out of a brave new world. I watched it. I'm like you know what? That was pretty good, it was pretty solid. Not the best thing, but not the worst thing. But then I saw it again Once it came out on a Blu-ray yeah, I remember Blu-rays. Once it came out on Blu-ray, on disc, I watched it again. I was like that was better than I remember it being the first time. As I continuously watched it throughout the years, my enjoyment of it has gone up more and more and it's become to me one of the most underappreciated movies in the MCU. So that's the first one. The second one I still enjoy, but I'm like, yeah, it didn't hit as much as that first one did. I still enjoyed it. But yeah, if that one kind of gets regarded about, is in the bottom a lot of people's rankings, I get that one, but that first one is supremely underrated, I feel, and I enjoyed the second one. So for the third one to come out and be what it was, that broke my heart. Um, yeah, uh. And then, of course, we know that the budget is $180 million, so it used to make math. The math is math $360 million, slightly more than that. Actually, you want to go $2.5 more than it costs to make uh, to make a profit. So it actually needs to make like uh 300, 365 million to like, actually be profitable, which I don't know where it's sitting it in terms of worldwide gross um, deeper drop than Thor, love and Thunder and Multiverse of Madness.

Speaker 1:

Guardians 3 dropped by only 47% in its second weekend. And again, completely understandable because both this Thor, love and Thunder and Multiverse of Madness all three of those uh, when they came out, were very either split. I remember multiverse of madness was very split. Some people said it was one of the best they've done and some people was like, uh, it was kind of me, and then thor, love and thunder, or, you know, it's kind of just universally, just kind of like, hey, it was all right, it was kind of meh, it was all right. That's how I felt about love and thunder too, uh, and then, by comparison, guardians 3 has such a small dip in its second weekend because guardians 3 is universally like positive, like I don't think I've seen anybody, uh, any any substantial amount of people or a big voice for this movie being bad to mid. I think it's universally accepted that guardians 3 is a damn good movie. It was, it was great and I remember I loved it. So yeah. So I said we will follow it up on that. We're following up on the story from last week, even though, like, yeah, it's 49 on round tomatoes but, as we see, the honest reception is like an 80. Oh so it's 40 from critics, but audience scores are giving it like an 80, which also, by the way, it says it on here too, movie debut amid rumors of trope of production.

Speaker 1:

Reshoots, influence a franchise, low b-minus cinema score which is fucking crazy, like I, I guess it. It just speaks to the whole thing of like how strong the mcu has been. The fact that a b minus is a low. That's a good goddamn score. I don't know what like, like you get a fucking b minus on a goddamn what the fuck a fucking trigonometry exam, you're going to be pretty fucking happy with that. Like you're going to be happy with it.

Speaker 1:

I don't know why the fact that it's a B minus like it's an A like that's what I would give it. I gave it between like a six and a seven. You know it's not the best thing, but it's not the worst. It's pretty good and I don't know why people kind of view that as like a bad thing, especially when I'm telling you it is not the worst marvel movie like, which is what I understand. If this is the franchise, low, what the fuck it does. Like the dark world I feel like that actually for the dark world cinema score. I don't even know what this is. Did this exist when this damn movie came out?

Speaker 2:

I need to go. Fucking did that shit say A minus?

Speaker 1:

oh my fucking god, are you serious?

Speaker 2:

what.

Speaker 1:

Thor the dark. This is how you know this shit ain't nothing. Thor the dark world has a fucking A minus. I'm sorry. I enjoy the Thor movies but Thor the Dark World has a fucking A I'm sorry, I enjoy the Thor movies but Thor the Dark World to me is like the worst one they had. Thor the Dark World is, to my belief, is generally like one of the rare actual like boring Marvel movies. Like the story wasn't all that.

Speaker 1:

I've never been too much into the thor and jane relationship. I felt like chris and natalie didn't have immense amounts of uh chemistry, or at least like who's ever writing or directing them probably didn't do it as much justice. I feel like they're. I feel like the chemistry and love and thunder was better than it was in the other two damn thor movies. Uh the villain was dog shit, incredibly boring. The action scenes were not all that. The best part of thor love and thunder is the fucking part where, like um, it seems like loki died but he but he didn't, and then he imitated um, he imitated odin at the very end. That's crazy. This shit is fraudulent as hell.

Speaker 1:

I actually like this movie too. By the way, incredible hawk has an a minus and I like the incredible hawk movie, the 2008 version. I like that version, but there ain't no way in hell. That shit was a goddamn A What'd they give the? I can't spell, captain y'all, the first Avenger was an A To me, the first Avenger and this are on the same level. Clearly it's not touching the Winter Soldier, which is one of the greatest. Um, the fact that the fact that the winter soldier is only a degree under the first avenger is absolutely fucking insane.

Speaker 2:

Uh it's absolutely fucking insane.

Speaker 1:

Um, yeah, that's fucking. That is I can't lie to y'all that shit's blowing my mind. Fucking Thor the Dark World has a fucking A what the fuck? That's crazy. I gotta I'm being stuck on that. But yeah, that's my, that's my thing. Don't trust it. Don't trust it.

Speaker 1:

Cinema score I don't think is cinema score the one where, like, they interview, um, they interview people who go see the movie, like right after they see it, and give and give their opinion, like fresh out the the theater. And to me it also shows I kind of want to bring it, I ain't gonna get stuck about it. To me it also kind of shows how the improvements have been throughout the if they fucking. If we were back in 2013 and we thought Thor the Dark World was one of the best fucking comic book movies that have been put out up to that point, we have come a long fucking. We have come a long fucking way, or have we when this one is worse? But I mean, you know, you know I'm going to say it, but I ain't saying it, but I think we know, we know why motherfuckers didn't like this movie. What's the difference between the main character of this one and the main character of Thor the Dark World.

Speaker 1:

I don't know I don't know three of the two of the top three billing actors in this movie they ain't white.

Speaker 2:

I'll tell you that. All I'll say look at that.

Speaker 1:

I don't know movie might be movie might have been a little too colorful for some people, though what we'll say about that I don't know how I can say that people love Black Panther, but I feel like you know, I feel like that's just an easy pass for some people. It's like that South Park episode where Carmen's like oh Token you didn't like Black Panther you know what?

Speaker 2:

alright, I'm moving on it's like like Black Panther cause they don. They don't want to get the kind of cats, they want all that smoke, but the black captain america, that could be something we could all right next up.

Speaker 1:

This is kind of a weird one. Ayo edibri, who I just learned it, that's apparently how you pronounce it is to write and possibly star in. This is the thing that throws. This is the thing that throws me off the most a24's live action barney movie. I don't know if y'all notice I say it every time we get an a24 trailer on this channel.

Speaker 1:

A24 does good shit. They do very good, extremely well done mid-cost movies. So it's like they don't spend a lot to make their movies and they make them extremely well. So that the positive word of mouth and how well the movie is made leads to them to make back the money for for the movies, because they don't spend a lot on them but they just make them, uh, extremely well. And also the fact that their their name break. That brand recognition is also getting up there too. So the fact that it's them making a barney movie is kind of wild to me. All right, bonnie, bonnie barney is a dinosaur from our imagination and soon he'll be a live action film sensation.

Speaker 1:

Uh, a24's barney movie was announced way back in 2019 okay, that was, that was before I was doing the channel, so I didn't even know about this and look like the team behind it have found the woman to write the magenta mattel legends. I don't know, barney was mattel. Uh, per deadline, uh, the baron opus actor ayo edibrai has brought up was, has been brought aboard to write and possibly star in a long gestating film. So this film has kind of been. This film's been in production hell for like six, seven years. So that's already. That's already alarming. It's a co-production between A24 and Mattel, of course, oh wait, and Daniel Kaluuya's 59% productions banner. Okay, don't know how I feel about that. I feel like that might be too many cooks in the kitchen kind of thing. We got three production studios, two technically, I guess, because we're telefilms, it's literally just you know the fucking ip, but still, because it's their ip, still could have some some say in some stuff.

Speaker 1:

Um, the as of yet untitled barney movie is not, you will be be delighted, displaced to learn being pitched as a faithful recreation of the 90s, early 2000s kids TV staple. Rather, the plan seems to follow in Barbie's footsteps. Ok, that's also not surprising, taking the Gobi recognized brand name and putting it into more high concept use. Kevin McKeon talked to the project up as a surrealist and surrealistic endeavor, an adult orientated film in the Spike Jonze, charlie Coffin mode that will focus on some of the trials and tribulations of being, of being 30, something, grown up with Barney just a level of disenchantment within a generation, okay. So yeah, they're, they're. They're taking it in more of the, in more of the Barbie route, so it's not going to be just a giant dinosaur to again dance it and teach you how to clean up after yourself. Um, yeah, that we have a suspect. May not be the case, though, wait, hold on. At the same time, a tail ceo, uh yanon, uh crea, is went on record a few weeks later. Today.

Speaker 1:

The film would not be an odd movie, though we heavily suspect that may not be the case though, especially given Edabaya's propensity for quirky, off-kilter comedy. I agree, I agree, like, if you like it, like the way they're explaining it, like the surrealist adult orientated film Child of 37 to Gontabani. That is the exact type of shit aeo would be attached to, because she has, she has kind of been put into these very, uh, off-kilter, quirky type of you know, weird I guess it's lack of a better term weird characters. We don't know who's directing or who's starring uh, or if ao was even actually going to be a part of the things on camera, but we'll see. So we got a barney movie. We got a barney movie coming up, uh, again, it's like they're going down the route of barbie, uh, even leggo. I'll even say lego movie too, though, granted, they still made theirs kid centric. They did still like, like the whole concept of the whole thing being the fact that it's a, um, it's a, it's a kid playing this, uh, reflecting. Uh, his father, who, uh, who's who he's becoming more distant with, was, wow, fucking love that movie so much. Um, so it's in the vein of that. So barney is going to be more of a vehicle, uh, going to be more of a vehicle and more of a vehicle and more of a launching off point for the actual conflict and plot of whatever this movie is going to be. So we'll see.

Speaker 1:

I did grow up in the Barney times. Granted, it was a late 90s, early 2000s. So I was, I was, I was already kind of growing up at that point, you know. So I didn't, I didn't, I wasn't a, I wasn't big, big barney. Was barney only really like? When did barney? When did the first episode that come out? Running friends, uh, pregnant, what the fuck premiere. When did that come out? Oh shit, it came out April 1992. Okay, so it literally debuted a few months before I was even born. Okay, damn, that is a long ass time. When did it end? The show ran until April god damn 2010, and reruns continued until 2016. Okay, so I did kind of grow up with this.

Speaker 1:

I don't remember being a massive fan of it, though, granted, I was a fucking kid. I don't remember well. I remember being big into Power Rangers. I don't remember being too massive fan of it, though the, granted, I was a fucking kid. I don't remember well, I remember being big in the power ages. I don't remember being too big at the party.

Speaker 1:

All right up next, some pretty uh big big news here. Uh, star wars buff kathleen kennedy is playing as a lucas films at the end of 2025. Uh, lucas, uh, kathleen kennedy has been the longtime president of lucas films. I think she's been up there since Disney bought Star Wars and they put and they started putting plans in place to make more Star Wars content. She intends to retire after her current contract ends, according to a source with the knowledge of her plans. A separate source has dismissed these claims. She joined in 2012 as co-chair alongside george lucas, shortly after lucas exited his post as dizzy, okay, so. So she was there when george lucas was still running stuff, but, uh, she stayed when disney uh came in and bought the company, uh, and then elevated her to president. Uh, she's credited reviving the property by launching the sequel trilogy. Of course, we know that uh, rogue one in 2016, uh, and the and the uh. She also uh manned the venture into tv with the mandalorian and andor, uh.

Speaker 1:

But of course, as we all know, things have not been very peachy in the Star Wars front for quite some time. The Force Awakens still remains as the profitable thing. It's kind of crazy how, literally after the first movie, it's downtrended since then, which is funny. Okay, thank you, my VPN is connected again. Uh. Okay, thank you, my vpns is connected again. Uh, but the triad of star of skywalker centric black but experience diminishing returns. Rise of skywalker capped off the trilogy in 2019 with the still in the presence of billion dollars, uh, but it was half of what the force awakens earned a few years earlier.

Speaker 1:

If there was ever a movie that simply felt like an obligation, it was the rise of skywalker. That movie felt like such an obligation movie. It's like, well, we've already come this far, we kind of gotta do it. Um, everybody's pissed off. So let's not rehire rain johnson. Let's go back to jj abrams. Let's have him make this movie, but but also have him kind of try to reverse all of the shit people hated about the last one.

Speaker 1:

And then, of course, solo Star Wars story, the first Star Wars movie to ever lose money in its run, and, of course, things ain't been good since, like I said, the original trilogy didn't work out. The Mandalorian has very much cooled down a hell of a lot after its first two seasons. Uh, we talked about how, um, that one show got canceled the acolyte that got canned, um, so, yeah, it's been. It's been rough for star wars. Uh, oh, she also oversaw indiana. Indiana jones. I remember that there's the Indiana Jones movie that just recently came out. In 2023, it's two years. That shit was two years ago. That shit already feels longer than that. The fifth and final movie from Harrison Ford, uh, did not do well either. Uh, oh, they talk about right here, struggle, though, sister rock skywalker. Yeah, shit ain't been. Shit has not been good. Uh, shit has not been good. Shit has not been good at all. Let's see what they're talking about.

Speaker 1:

In the year since, lucasfilm has announced several Star Wars projects that none of them worked out James Mangold, shemaine, albeit Chinoy, taika Waititi and Donald Glover but none have come to fruition yet. He was supposed to do a Lando movie. Taika was supposed to do something. Uh, there was uh, it's right here patty jenkins was supposed to do what the fuck was it called rogue squadron. Is that what she's supposed to do? She's supposed to do that. That didn't happen. Um, the motherfuckers from game is right there. The motherfuckers for game of thrones were supposed to do something that didn't happen because these niggas shit the bed with the final season of Game of Thrones. So they was like you know what? We think? We gonna pass on this idea, guys, thank you, but yeah, but no. Also, what's his name? This goes back further too, because old boy who directed Fat Four, stick Josh Trank. He was also supposed to do a Star Wars project, but after Fantastic Four came out and bombed and then all those news stories came up about how that motherfucker was crashing out behind the scenes, they decided to pass on, uh, on him doing a star wars thing too. So, yeah, there's been a lot of star wars promises and nothing has happened with any of them. Uh, lucas plans to eventually reintroduce himself to movies theaters. We know we got the man, the mandalorian and grogu, which, now that I said the fact that the mandalorian cooled down substantially, uh, on the show like after season two.

Speaker 1:

I wonder what the um, what the hype, what the intrigue? Is anybody still interested enough in this series to go out to see a movie? Because the one thing about it being on disney plus, when you just watch it, you're already paying for the damn thing, so you might as well just watch it. It's another thing to now have to thing, so you might as well just watch it. It's another thing to now have to pay for a movie ticket and go out and see it. So I'm interested. We'll see X-Men. Alum.

Speaker 1:

Simon Kinberg is putting together a new Star Wars trilogy, right, right. Is that the one with Daisy Ridley coming back for it? Is that still happening? Damn, I can't type Daisy Ridley. Star Wars Return Is that still happening? Jedi Order, which remains the Rey Skywalker movie's working title, will begin in 2026, so is this still happening? Daisy really says her Star Wars movie is highly well reported. This is a couple weeks ago too. I got my VPN on. It's gonna take a minute. But yeah, big Star Wars news.

Speaker 1:

I don't remember if there was any updates on what this. I've seen some stuff. It's probably what the story was. I say some stuff about it recently, some headlines stuff. I never read them but I know that it was in the news, uh, a little while ago. Okay, the fucking action. I see. I see in monday that shit, the poster for that shit popped up on my timeline. I was like what the fuck is this? I've heard nothing. I ain't seen no trailer. I never knew the shit was happening. I didn't know she was attached to it. What's his face is in this too.

Speaker 1:

Tad Skyler, the motherfucker who plays Sanji in the live action. One piece, two years worth of acclaimed work and a number of blah, blah, blah. Really new. It's time to return to a 50 minute household name of Star Wars. So I guess it's still happening, okay.

Speaker 1:

And finally, for our last thing, dc Studios, slate Evolution. Some projects put on the back burner and others are full steam ahead, so we got some changes to the uh, dc universe slate order here. Uh, this is a bunch of yapping shit where the news at um, we know superman's coming this summer, uh, but gunna saffron are not waiting to see how Superman flies before making the next moves. We got Supergirl, woman of Tomorrow. We know that's in production. They say it's halfway done. Lanterns that began shooting last week. Oh, wow, I didn't know that.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so this is some of the new stuff they've been announcing Clayface, which is a body horror thriller based on the batman villain uh, they have a director. Who is it? Uh, and that's gonna shoot in a summer. Uh, shoot this summer for a fall 2026 release. That's shooting this summer. They just fucking announced this shit. What the hell?

Speaker 1:

Okay, sergeant Rock, a period war movie directed by Luca Guadag. What the fuck, how do you pronounce this? Yeah, translate it for me. Tell you what I want to do. Damn, google got rid of the thing where it pronounces shit. Oh, he's he doing the? Is he? He's doing queer? Oh, and he did challengers. Okay, that's cool. That's a thing. Guandanino, okay, so, yeah, okay, that's a little. That's some clout there. He's gonna see just some pretty good stuff.

Speaker 1:

Uh, it's looking for a star in an animated movie titled dynamic duo is in pre-production, is that that? Um, that's the movie with the? Uh, nightwing and Robin right in that something this August, season 2 of Peacemaker will debut on Max. Damn, I didn't know that was going to do it for the identity of the division includes currently documentary Superman the Christopher Reeve story okay, we know that. Um November, november, okay. The documentary superman the christopher reed story okay, we know that, um, in november, okay. Okay, it ain't really tweet talking about that. This is them talking about shit. Uh, we got no place.

Speaker 1:

Making a clay face movie turned into script and it's one of the best scripts we've read and trying to plan. But we're happy to pivot as we discover things in the making of superman or supergirl or scripts being written. There's flexibility built into it, even though we know where the larger story is heading. Uh, so they're basically saying they got their whole slate done, but they are open to um, they are open to changing things and bringing in other things or moving things out if something interesting unveiled in January 23 have met challenges and that could be devil brainiac himself couple cracks in it but still haven't been able to land Waller. A piece of that's supposed to be about Viola Davis.

Speaker 1:

A series of the time travel hero booster gold was waiting for a show. A series of the time travel hero booster gold was waiting for a showrunner to make the time for it, so that's on the back burner. The authority had a script, has had a harder time coming along, hasn't been much of a priority, so it's been on the back burner. James Van Gogh's take on this hero, on the hero horror hero swamp thing, also seemed to have cooled. And then there's the batman problem, or several.

Speaker 1:

Uh, yeah, I know there's a thing going on for a while about like apparently they were in talks to maybe have matt reese and robert patsons the batman be the the Batman for the DC Studios, but I think that recently came and said that that's not happening for a new movie. It's featuring 39 scenes years away. It's been 3 years since Matt Reeves the Batman introduced Bruce Wayne in 2022 and we know that's now. I think they just the sequel ain't coming until like 2026. Now, making them over during the pandemic. No, no loss, but a sequel scene was no closer than before.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, they pushed it back a couple times. I gotta say I think it's not coming until 2026 now because they grab a pants and I think he just had a baby so he wanted to take some time to raise the kid and then something else happened. So it was like, okay, we're pushing it back again. Uh, also currently developing the brave and the bold, centered on batman and his son, but although it was announced in 2033 and that andy machete would direct the feature and produce for it, um, uh, seems to be at arm's length from the project, probably because he was like oh, I got a bad experience with this superhero shit, I don't want to do it again hmm, this is, um, this is maybe slightly worrying because, like, hey, we put you in charge, james gunn, peter saverdine, y'all running this ship.

Speaker 1:

Now, right, the ship. Because the the first time we did shit didn't work out too damn well. So, uh, please fix this shit for us please. And it seems like they're entering problems, which isn't anything new, by the way. Uh, speak, no evil director james watkins is directing the clayface thing. Okay, which isn't a problem. I'm sure every production has issues, especially when you're trying to do this fucking cinematic universe stuff. Um, but yeah, I think I think they probably, I think it was a. It was a.

Speaker 1:

It was a thing of having too much too early. Like, let's let, like let's do one to two really good fucking movies and have some small interconnected shit in the background, then have those take off. Then you kind of start expanding shit more and more. Like I think they came out was like, yeah, we're doing creature commandos. We're doing superman, we got supergirl. We got batman the brave and the bold. We're doing lanterns. We're doing, uh, what the fuck else did they announce, uh, during that slate? Uh, we're doing swamp thing. What the fuck they talk about the authority? We got a booster gold thing. I think they they probably just bit off too much to make it shoot.

Speaker 1:

When it first started this, I was laying out, uh, internally a plan, but we're happy to pick. We just read that we went up my bad physical back down. Uh, gunwood so far, say he he was now driving. He was now. I can't read gunwood so far as to say he was now the driving force of the title. Everybody knows I love batman. It's important to me, so I'm working very closely with the writer on the brave and the bold.

Speaker 1:

He said the writer's name was not revealed. Um, it's probably his partner. Does he have a writing partner to help them, like, write superman? Uh, what the fuck is this shit called? Because it's not called legacy anymore. Did he write it himself? Uh, jerry sigel, joe Schuster, have they worked together before? Oh, this is just the fucking comic creator. My dumb ass. Okay, these are the dudes who made the comic. Okay, so it was just him. I swear he had, like, a partner who also wrote some shit with him.

Speaker 1:

I'm getting off topic. I'm gonna talk about, like a motherfucker, uh, writer known for guardians, guardians 3. So he's gonna. Okay, maybe I'm wrong, but anywho, uh, yeah, put cold water over that. Pattinson with stars Batman yeah, I just talked about that. Um, penguin spinoff continues to seal. The Penguin, I heard, was really good.

Speaker 1:

No plans for a follow up. Chances are we aren't gonna get a season 2. I ain't gonna lie, I don't think a season 2 is probably gonna happen. Um, and if we do get anything else, if if there is the possibility of a season two, it's probably not gonna come until after or closer to before, uh, the Batman sequel comes out, and we already did that three years off. All right, all right.

Speaker 1:

Uh, this, I'm not gonna lie, I don't read these before I get here. This one was this one's just a bunch of fucking yapping, like I thought that. I thought there was like solid date changes, like, okay, this is moving back, this is moving up, we're focusing more on this. This is kind of moving into the background. This is literally just them just talking. This is just this motherfucking yapping about shit and basically just go like, yeah, as we, as we get further along and develop more stuff, uh, some things have kind of moved on better than others, so those are going to be what we focus on, while other things are just kind of moved to the back and we we're having issues with them. So we don't know what's going to happen to them. So, yeah, nothing, nothing really big there. All right, so that is it for film.

Speaker 1:

Now let's move on to video games, shall we all right? First up, uh, fable delayed to 2026. Microsoft reveals brand new pre-alpha gameplay. So we all know fable was getting a remake. It was supposed to come out in 2025, this year, uh, but they announced that they will be moving to 2026. Uh, upcoming reboot of the xbox franchise made by lionhead studios. Shout out to peter molyneux um, craig duncan, formerly, uh, from a rare studio head, um, move to reassure fans. A new fable game is definitely worth the wait.

Speaker 1:

I want to start with uh, really excited about progress, really excited about where the playground are, about where playground are. What really excited about where playground are? Okay, we previously announced the date for fable 2025. We're actually going to give fable more time. It's going to be shipped in 2026. Now did? I want to show you that it's definitely worth the wait.

Speaker 1:

Unequivocal confidence in the play, in the playground team. If you think about their history and legacy of forza horizon, the last few games critically acclaimed, I did not know that. I don't know. The motherfuckers made forza were making this all right, cool, oh shit, you know what. I was supposed to put this on there because this, this literally happened today. News of this broke when I was on my way home, uh, from work and I meant to add this into the stories and I forgot. But, um, yeah, uh, a little bit.

Speaker 1:

Dipping back into the film portion uh, actress michelle uh tractenberg uh passed away today. Uh, she was 39. She starred in like buffy the vampire slayer, uh gossip girl. I think I've seen harriet the spy. She was also in that as well. Uh, yeah, so buffy and gossip girl actress michelle tractenberg died as age 39. Uh, death is not being investigated suspicious, so we don't know too much yet. Her mother found her? Uh dead on wednesday in her new york city apartment. Uh reportedly underwent a liver transplant and may have been experiencing complications. Uh, let's see if we can get it.

Speaker 1:

At the age of nine, appeared in the 1990s nickelodeon showed the adventures of pete and pete, before making her film debut in 96's Harriet the Spy. And I can't lie to you, when I seen her face and I seen that she was in Harriet the Spy, I was like, oh, that's where the fuck I know her from Because I didn't watch Buffy or Gossip Girl. Famously played Dawn Summers, the younger sister of by, in teen drama buffy the vampire slayer. Uh and genie. In 2004. American teen uh sex comedy, euro trip. Uh. 2005. She played casey carlisle in teen sports drama film ice princess. Uh play as way georgia sparks in the teen gossip girl, which ran from 07 to 2012, and she returned for the role in HBO's standalone sequel series in 2023. Last major acting role was in 2021 as a host of the 2B crime drama Meet Mary and Murder.

Speaker 1:

Uh, they're doing some, uh, some Josh Whedon shit here. Uh, yeah, fuck, josh Whedon Of inappropriate behavior on set after costar. Uh, charisma carpenter said she was left traumatized to the treatment she received from whedon. So, yeah, I forgot, I forgot to add that part in there. But, uh, rest in peace. Um, michelle trachtenberg.

Speaker 1:

All right, all right, all right. Um, so I guess, to offset the fact that, uh, they announced that they were delaying the game. That's how to show off some gameplay. So this is an alpha game, but actually, though, uh, we'll save this for. Uh, we'll save this for. Uh, the trailer part. Uh, yeah, so, um, fable is delayed. I was looking forward to fable, but uh, 2026, I mean 2025. Right now it's looking pretty stacked, so I don't blame them for for pushing it back, all right.

Speaker 1:

Next up uh, assassin's creed shadows has leaked a month before launch. I actually did not know that. All right, so it looks like the last few people look like a few people have gotten their hands on. Oh, and there's a physical copies too. Uh, assassin's creed shadows ahead of the game's march 20th launch. Once one player streamed themselves playing the? Uh, the game. Uh, no spoilers are included below. That's crazy. Uh, the green shadows, but yeah, we, I know what assassin's creed shadows is, okay.

Speaker 1:

So on february 24, vgc and IGN reported that physical copies of Assassin's Creed Shadows had somehow leaked into the wild, and people have since brought the game early and started playing it. One person on Twitter seemed to have bought a leaked copy on the Facebook marketplace. What the fuck? The images and video had been removed by Ubisoft, possibly confirming them validity. I know the user on reddit claims to have an early copy and played it on ps5 and sharing details of the first few hours. Uh, we also got people streaming the game on twitch, though it appears these broadcasts have been taken down, and quickly, and the archives quickly scrubbed. I don't blame them. Um, yeah, that that sucks, especially considering the fact that this game is already on. A has an uphill battle to fight with the GoWookieGoBrokies who are pissed because the game is not historically accurate.

Speaker 2:

It's not historically accurate. Yes, I know you thought actual gods in Valhalla and Origins and Odyssey, but we don't care. We'll talk about those Because historical accuracy matters First. That's Queen Shadows, but not anything else. Yeah, we know you killed the Pope. We know you fought the Pope in the Vatican the fucking Assassin's Creed 2. But guess what? We ain't talking about that. We talking about this. I don't want to play my game. I don't want to play my Assassin's Creed as a six-foot-tall black man in Japan. I don't want to play as a woman. It's not. It's not what I'm going to be acting with. I'm just saying I don't want to play as a woman, it's not, it's not accurate.

Speaker 1:

Alright For Ubisoft, the last thing they wanted. Yeah, that's what I was just talking about For the preview. They're excited, they liked it. How many more fires will Ubisoft have to put out before Shadows releases on March 20th? So, yeah, this is just another fucking log thrown into the fires of going on with ubisoft surrounding this game and just ubisoft in general. So there you go. So be wary of any assassin's creed shadow spoilers out there in the wilds.

Speaker 1:

All right, next up we have a dauntless is being shut down by phoenix lab in may. I have no idea what the hell this is. Phoenix is officially shutting down. It's free to play action rpg dauntless. This spring, in a post on steam and social media uh, dauntless was shut. It down on may 29, 2025. Dauntless received no additional content or updates. The game will no longer be able to play. On march 29th 2025 I should say 2005 they closed the social media post specifically saying thanks to all for being a part of the dauntless journey.

Speaker 1:

Shutdown comes nearly uh, six years after first launch on september 2019. Oh well, it actually lasted quite a long time. Uh, this move also comes as a tumultuous time for phoenix labs as a studio. Okay, learned that roughly 50 people were let go from the company. Oh yeah, that sucks. There was belief among those let go, uh, at the time that finished as a whole was set to be closed. Uh, oh, and then if this game got shut down, that could uh put more into that as well? Uh, as of writing parent company. Uh, as of writing. Parent company. Uh, forte has yet to make an announcement of the status of the studio. Uh, insider game has reached out to attempt to get clarity on the situation. But, uh, because the hangout doesn't uh peter with six million players and it's been going for 29. I thought this was something that just started up, but this has been going since 2019. So that's a this had to have some fucking legs and a fan base to it. So, uh, yeah, this, uh, this could, this could be really very bad writing on the walls about the future of phoenix labs. They were just let go and then the people who were let go was like, yeah, we don't think the uh, we don't think this is gonna gonna last, and now their game's shutting down. It could all, could all play a role, but we shall see. But let's get to the big one. Let's get to the big meat and potatoes of our video game session right here right now.

Speaker 1:

Speaking of games being shut down, warner bros games cancels wonder woman and shuts down multiple studios multiple, all right. So warner brothers games has canceled its wonder woman game and shut down multiple studios. Jason schreier reports and records. We know jason schreier is a very reliable source. Um, in addition to the game itself, monolith productions, player first games and wb san diego are all set to be closing, damn. The report from schreier states that the cuts reflect a refocusing of the games division on major franchises such as we mentioned this a while ago. We know wb games is now shifting their focus to only focus on dc, primarily batman. Uh, mortal kombat, game of thrones and hogwarts, harry potter, whatever you want to call them. Those are the games they're going to be focusing on for the future and I think they still, within all that, they're still going to focus mostly on, like uh, mobile and uh live service shit within all those two. So yay, uh.

Speaker 1:

An initial memo obtained by shire wb head of games and streaming b? Uh. Jb perrette said that too many recent releases have have really missed the mark, my brother. That is the understatement of the goddamn century. Let me remind, let me remind y'all of the ails wb games has taken recently. So we know, wonder woman, wonder woman has all the way has, since the damn I feel the damn announcement of this game has been uh has apparently had just been a damn dumpster fire behind the scenes. We had reports that, uh, after the announcement, uh, years went by and we saw and heard nothing from the game. Uh, we heard that they had recently made a shift and sort of scrapped everything and started over. Uh, this game was supposed to have the nemesis system involved. We'll talk about that a little bit more. Uh, and then they announced that they scrapping the nemesis system out the game and just focusing on making it a more action adventure game. And then now the next big news we got about it is the fact that it's closing. So wonder woman didn't work the fuck out. We know suicide squad massive l shut down.

Speaker 1:

This shit lasted four seasons and it was done. They didn't even, they couldn't even put efforts into the final damn cut scene of the game. That shit was a goddamn clip show. Y'all seen that. I don't want to fuck up my YouTube shit, I'm just gonna show a little bit of it.

Speaker 1:

Suicider, suicide Squad Killer. Justice League ending. That shit was a goddamn clip show. Look at this shit. I'm gonna mute it. I don't want to fucking hang it out here. Cuh, that shit was a goddamn clip show. Look at this shit. I'm going to mute it. I don't want to fucking hang. Get out of here. Cuh Is this seafood? What is this? Look at this shit. This is the game's final cutscene.

Speaker 1:

Four seasons, millions of dollars, millions of dollars, millions of dollars, millions of dollars, millions of dollars put into this game. Just for this to be the goddamn final. Just for this to be the goddamn ending. Just for that to be the goddamn ending cutscene. A goddamn flash, a goddamn flash cutscene. Y'all remember Flash games back in the day when you played those games online? There's a goddamn clip show. This is goddamn. Uh, this is what they was doing in. Uh, redfall. I couldn't even animate the shit. It just made it images with a voiceover. Crazy shit. Gotham Knights Another L. These little fucks want to focus on Batman. They did an Arkham thing and a Batman-sager thing and both of them failed and they still just want to do Batman-focused stuff. What the fuck? Multiverses, which I think is Player First that was them. Player First games that was them. That was like their first game Shut down. We talked about that not too long ago. Live service game Smash clone with all WB characters. That's Scooby-Doo. That's Shaggy Game of Thrones. Lebron James what LeBron James?

Speaker 1:

LeBron James, the Iron Giant all the DC Batman, superman, wonder Woman, flash, martian Manhunter, beast Boy, booster Gold they had all the motherfuckers they could use. King Kong, they had him too. Iron Giant, lebron James these motherfuckers made a game when you could have motherfuckers Shaggy and Batman Running the fade against Superman and LeBron James how do you take an L in that? And Batman running the fade against Superman and LeBron James how do you take an L in that? They found a way to somehow. They somehow found a way for that shit to fail. You have motherfucking Arya from Game of Thrones fighting motherfucking B fight motherfucking bugs. Bunny l, mortal kombat one.

Speaker 1:

I believe it sold well, but I do believe the uh. They didn't have it did not have much legs on it. I think there was a report saying that, um, they are not going to continue support after the uh, the characters from the combat pack come out. Let's see, probably the shit I just talked about. It's probably some same shit they said. If it's the rest of this interview, okay. So wonder woman was first announced that the game was a 2021 developed by monolith productions, like I said, set to feature the nemesis system made popular by the middle earth games. Uh. So this is a reveal announcement. News around wonder woman has been scarce and with it reported that the game had been completely rebooted sometime in 2024. Uh models was formed in 1994 before becoming a subsidiary of wb in 2004. The closing the player first, because with the debut of the multiverse, because it was the debut game.

Speaker 2:

Damn.

Speaker 1:

They bought the studio of July of last year and they closed the motherfucker in February of 2025. They even had this motherfucker a year and they closed it Wow. And then WB San Diego was formed in 2019 and focused primarily it wow. And then wb san diego was formed in 2019 and focused primarily on mobile and free play games. Okay, uh, oh yeah, by the way, warner brothers interactive head, david hadid, was left and I believe it was. It was announced that kind of he, his, uh, his bad matters were kind of led to why a lot of these games didn't really work. Wb is down bad. Y'all already know. If y'all been following this channel for a minute, you should already know it's been fuck WB for a while over here.

Speaker 1:

We ain't been fucking with WB for a minute Ever since these motherfuckers started shuttering movies and writing them shits off as tax returns. We ain't been fucking with them at all. We ain't never gonna forget what they did to Batgirl. We ain't never gonna forget what they did to Wile E. Coyote versus Acme. Is that what it was called? Coyote versus Acme? That was the call. We ain't never gonna forget what they did today. We never gonna forget what they did with the Scoob sequel. We never gonna forget these motherfuckers cutting, fucking a million, a hundred million, a trillion million, cutting a million, cutting a million and four animated shows from HBO Max and then upping the price. We ain't never going to forget that. I ain't never going to forgive them for canceling close enough and they're taking it off of streaming services and not giving it a physical release.

Speaker 1:

Fuck, wb. I'm cautiously optimistic about the Superman movie. Cautiously optimistic, I want it to be good, I want it to work out. I like James Gunn, but I don't know. Wb might still find some way to fuck it up. These motherfuckers fucked up. Batman versus Superman.

Speaker 2:

How do you fuck up a movie that has Batman?

Speaker 1:

and Superman in the same movie, fighting each other.

Speaker 2:

It had Wonder Woman in it.

Speaker 1:

And they still fucked it up. I don't know because WB fuck ups. Wb is fuck ups, y'all already know it's been fucked up WB over here for a minute. So yeah, so now we got another studio closing, three game studios closing. I'm sorry, we got three game studios closing. A bunch of people done lost their jobs. Now a fucking game. It's wild out here. It's cutthroat out here.

Speaker 1:

Because motherfuckers like Where's Dame go I don't even know where's fucking Dame Because motherfuckers like David Hadid don't know how to run a goddamn games company. Because these motherfuckers in suits don't know how to run a goddamn games company. Because these motherfuckers in suits don't know how to, don't know how to actually, you know, make games. They want fucking live service and shit and every goddamn thing. It's fucked up. All right.

Speaker 1:

But now another thing that is vitally important to this story. I'm missing the fact wonder woman had the, the Nemesis system involved in it. They shut down Monolith. Wb Games made a patent for the Nemesis. If y'all don't know what the Nemesis system is, I think they explained it more in this article, because I myself don't know how to explain it fully. But I played Shadow of Mordor. I played it. I never finished it, but I did play it very briefly so that's why my knowledge of it is very light. But basically the Nemesis system was a system they developed specifically for this game, for Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor. It was a Lord of the Rings game and in it they had the Nemesis system. The Nemesis system was basically a system where the enemies, the orcs, the enemy faction in the game, the orcs had their own kind of social system that would happen in the back of the game.

Speaker 1:

And by that I mean if you came across one of these bosses and you fought him, he was, he was just like a low ranking grunt boss and you fought him. You know what I mean. If you fought him but you let him get away, he will remember that fight and he will remember that you ran away or he escaped or something. And when you're out in the game doing the other shit you run into another boss fight. The motherfucker would pull up again and like, oh, you thought we was done, it ain't finished until I say it's finished, and he'd attack you. So now you're fighting two bosses at the same time and chances are also he will come back. He could come back stronger than he was before, like if you were fighting him at level five and he was level five when you fought him he could come back and now he's like level 12. So now he'd be stronger and tougher to kill this time. And he remembered the fight, like, if you fucking I don't know, like, like if you fucking I don't know, like, if you fucking cut his hand off in the fight, when he come back, he wouldn't, he, his hand would be missing. And he remembered that. And he fight. And I think another thing of it was, um, if you fight a boss and they kill you, uh, instead, instead of uh, you just reloading the boss, fight, you would come back, but that fight would be done and because that orc defeated you and killed you, they would move up in like the rankings of of the orc hierarchy, whatever the hell you call it. So they had just been like a fucking uh, level five, grunt. Now they're like a fucking uh, a level 15 general or some shit. And now they got like three fucking, like three fucking underlings under them to come to. You know, pull, uh, pull your scat back. You know, let's look, they might explain it better than I did.

Speaker 1:

Uh, one of the most notable parts of the spinoff was the nemesis system. A clever mechanic. They marry gameplay and narrative in a way few games have ever been able to pull off. Uh, the nemesis system tracks your encounters with different irk foes throughout the game, and enemies that you face in a fight can yeah, so I mean can be promoted in sauron's army, gaining power and rank. Uh, what made it so fascinating is that it created micro narratives throughout the game. Instead of facing generic enemies until you hit credits, you could be facing rivals that grew as you progressed throughout the game. All of this made this experience feel like an emergent, self-authored revenge story, recreative to how you played. So like, yeah, so like you could like do this shit on your own, like you could fight a grunt and always just like run away before you actually kill him, and that motherfucker will always remember like you would keep running this fade and like he would keep coming back to fight you as the game progresses, progresses. So either it's like a tough boss that you can never beat and always whoop your ass, and they will get stronger in the game, or maybe it's a boss that will always run away and they come back and try to fight you again and they can't do it, so they run away again and then they come back later. So, yeah, it was a dope ass system.

Speaker 1:

Unfortunately, though, um, after this success, wb started mobile uh mobilizing to patent the nemesis system, so no one else could use it in 2015. So these motherfuckers made one of the best and most intriguing and interesting innovations in gaming in like the last 15 years. I still think, to this day, this is the only sort of new, innovative, original gameplay mechanic that has been made from the ground up in the last couple years. And I don't mean just like assets of course every game is original, or maybe use assets. I literally mean like an actual gameplay mechanic that has been original, not an innovation, not an evolution of something, but this was something wholeheartedly in its own and has never existed before, and we haven't seen it since. And you know why we haven't seen it since? Because wb's dumbass patent the fucking mechanic in 2015, so nobody else could use it, and if they did, they'd have to pay wb to use the nemesis system and to make this shit so much worse.

Speaker 1:

There's only been one game that's used the nemesis system that and it was the fucking sequel, shadow of War, which was a problem in and of itself because, apparently, shadow of War had a shit ton of microtransactions in it. I remember reading I never played this one I remember reading the third act of the game it pushes you to indulge in microtransactions. They fucking put the ending of the game, they put an entire act of their game behind a goddamn price wall. So there you go, stupid as hell. So now they made this whole fucking thing that. What the fuck did this game come out? This game came out in 2014. It's been 10 goddamn years and this shit has only been used in two games.

Speaker 1:

These motherfuckers patented this shit To never make money off of it. They could have put this shit into a Batman game. When did 2014. When did Arkham knight come out? Arkham arkham knight dropped in 2015. They could have put the fucking nemesis system in batman arkham knight. You know how dope that shit would have been.

Speaker 1:

Having a fucking, uh, having fucking bane. Keep coming back throughout the game stronger, stronger as hell, having a fucking lowly ass, fucking henchman and fucking two faces gang and eventually them up. And you see, throughout the game, as you keep fighting them, this motherfucker rises to become like two faces, right hand man and shit. That'll be dope, but no, we never got it, never got it. So now the question is after wonder woman, which was supposed to use it, and now it's can, and even worse, now that monolith games is closed, which is, which is Probably WB probably isn't going to have a fucking game branch at this point. Did they make that too? I would guess they did. Yeah, it was them, it's them, it's them. So now that that's closed, so now that fucking Monolith is closed, what's gonna happen with the nemesis system? Now I told you fuck wb, fuck wb, all right. So after that extremely long rant, that is it for there's a child pregnancy bug in Sims 4. There you go.

Speaker 1:

Also, again, I'll put out Dragon Age is free for PlayStation Plus. We know the game didn't hit EA's mark. 1.5 million is not enough. 1.5 million sales is not enough, despite the fact it was a sequel to a 10-year-old game, despite the fact that this shit got rebooted three times, despite the fact that it's literally a game franchise that is infamous for having no clearly defined identity. 1.5 million wasn't enough. Anywho, it's free on PlayStation Plus.

Speaker 1:

So if you've been on the fence about it, you've been listening to everybody talk about how shit the game was. Find out for yourself. Now it's free. You ain't got nothing to lose. Now it's free. Play it, come up to your own decision, come up with your own decision. I'm still playing it. I'm still liking it. Alright, so that's it for video games.

Speaker 1:

Now we finally move on to television. We're gonna try to make this quick, because that rant, that rant, probably went on for a little too long. Damn, I gotta figure out how to make shorts, bro, that shit would be a hilarious short. All right, so the punisher is getting a one-off disney plus special starring john burnthal. Uh, we're less than two weeks away from the return of Charlie Cox in Disney Plus' Daredevil Born Again. He's not the only one making the comeback.

Speaker 1:

The show is confirmed to include an appearance from Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, aka Frank Castle, at some point during the run. Of course, we knew he's been popping up in some of the trailers that promote the material. Bernthal will be back in the role for a one-off jesse plus special, or rather under a marvel special presentation banner. Y'all know they made the uh marvel special presentation thing a while ago. It contains all the little one-offs. The guardians holiday special, um werewolf by night, was a special presentation. I think they've rebranded echo to be that as well, but it's also. Not only is it the place to sort of do more experimental stuff, it's also the thing they're going to send to more um uh, more more greedy uh, more violent uh aspects of the marvel universe. So the punisher seems like the perfect place for it.

Speaker 1:

Uh, bernthal is going to star in this piece. He's also co-writing alongside ronaldo, marcus green, the king richard and one love director who'll be helming this one. Um, didn't, they didn't. Uh, I thought the uh guy who did rerun this city was being attached to this too. Um, marvel television boss brad wonderbaum teased what fans can expect from punisher's return. Speaker 1:

I hope they incorporate all of the defenders, the netflix people, into the mcu as a whole. Definitely, definitely on a bigger scale. I need to see these motherfuckers popping up in the avengers movies, or something somebody I've always said. I feel like spider-man is the perfect bridge between the large avengers level superheroes and the more street level heroes like daredevil and luke cage, and I feel like spider-man is the perfect bridge to bring those two worlds together. So I hope, I hope they use that. Uh, all right.

Speaker 1:

And our final tv story apple tv has found its third lead for the streamer's upcoming cape fear series. Patrick wilson is joining javier barden and amy adams in the series. Uh, it's an adaption of the two cape fear films from 1991 and 1962. Uh, based on the executioner's novel by john d mcdonald. Wilson will play tom bonin and an attorney merits a fellow lawyer. Anna was about amy adams. I don't think I got the fact that amy adams was also in this.

Speaker 1:

Uh, the cape fear series will follow what unfolds after killer max caddy is released from prison and seeks out the bonus who he blames for his sins. It's going to add a 21st century wrinkle, but also exploring americana's current true crime obsession. I don't know what that means. It means, despite the fact that this man is a clear killer, a bunch of people are gonna have a weird crush on max caddy. Um, nick and uh and antol and tosca is writing and executive producing spielberg and scorsese. Uh are also executive producers and they have some stuff about uh, patrick wilson's. Uh, shit, cool, cool, god damn it. You know.

Uh, the boys, season five, jared Padalecki and Misha Collins are joining the boys for the fifth season. Uh reuniting with uh, with jensen ackles. I don't know, of course, we don't know what roles they're playing. Um, I will figure they lead into it and the characters they're going to be playing are going to have some connection to soldier boy. Uh, that's who jason ackles character is playing. Uh, but, yeah, and of course you know, eric kripke is the showrunner, the man who created supernatural, so I got a little supernatural reunion happening on the boys.
